Is this scene in Carnival of Souls?
I recently read about the old film, Carnival of Souls and it faintly reminded me of a scene where there is a young man or boy sitting on a wheelchair at the top of a flight of stairs.
There's another scene where a young woman or girl is walking into a house. She is dripping wet from having fallen in the lake (or something). And it turns out that she had in fact drowned. And another scene where there's a spherical glowing palegreen light she follows across a room. I don't know if these flashes have anything to do with Carnival of Souls. Do you?

THAT does sound like "carnival of souls" to me. ;) :)

It's possible that the scenes with the glowing sphere and the boy in a wheelchair at the top of the stairs are from a completely different film. In my memory it just seemed like they all had the same atmosphere/texture.
Only one way to find out for sure: watch the film.

Some of what you are describing sounds like amityville 3D
The part where a woman falls into the lake and drowns, She then comes back dripping wet as a ghost. Maybe You've just got a few movies mixed up.:)
