Anyone hear of this film? It's supposedly a--pardon the pun--GRIMM, Japanese retelling of Little Red Riding Hood.

SPOLIERS!

Supposedly, the wolf dupes Red who is visiting her MOTHER. Wolf kills mother and greets Red as her mom. He even has a nice little meal prepared for her. Red starts to eat, but mice warn her that the meat is really her mother's flesh. Red is taken aback, but finishes, now turning her attention to a glass of wine. The family cat warns Red that it is really her mother's blood. Red agains shrugs it off and finishes the meal, 'wine' and all.

Shortly after, 'Mom' offers red to stay the night. Red agress. The wolf then rapes and eats her.

Well, hang on. There's no rape here! We're in a near-future Japan where society is breaking down and civil revolution is being heavily put down by a heavily armoured military police force - in awesomely-designed and frightening high-tech suits of armour - the Wolf Brigade.

While hunting down a gang of revolutionaries in the city sewers, one solidier/policeman in the Wolf Brigade is haunted by his chance meeting with a young girl in a red cape, carrying a homemade bomb...

Beautifully animated, this turns into a downbeat, soul-searching thriller. But the look, the music, occasional set-pieces and plot twists make it well worth seeking out. Oh yes, and there's the references to Little Red Riding Hood...
