Will it never end? All these remakes?

Dimension Celebrates a Black Christmas

November 1, 2005

Dimension Films has bought up U.S. distribution rights to 2929 Productions' horror remake Black Christmas, from the filmmaking team James Wong and Glen Morgan (Final Destination), reports Variety.

The film, which will begin shooting in January, is slated for a Christmas 2006 release. Wong and Morgan are producing, with Morgan writing and directing.

Black Christmas is about a killer who terrorizes a sorority house with phone calls before he begins to murder various sorority sisters during the holiday break.

the fucking film dosnt need to be remade. people should just go see the original, in my opinion it is one of the best slasher films from that time period and a personal favorite.

Why remake the film? To show the world a wimpy, Hollywood sanitized version of it? Rate it PG13 to simply make tons of money on it? List an unrated version to make people think there's way more to the movie than there really is? If anything, Rob Zombie needs to do the remake the way the movie was intended.
