Yup...seen that, liked that!

But you may have just spoiled the movie for others who haven't seen it already.

Damn, that's right!

Can someone delete my previous post and remove my quote from Roshiq's post?

"The Interview" 7/10

Ballsy and batshit crazy.

A 9.7 rating from 46.246 users on IMDB, which is the most insane rating i've ever seen.

"Exodus: Gods and Kings" 8/10

I don't think Ridley Scott could've found 2 whiter people to play Moses and Ramses than Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton. Wtf? And a white kid to play God? WHAAAAAAT?!?!?!?!

Nevertheless, if you're able to forget about religious history and peoples skin, you just might enjoy this movie as much as I did.

The Interview (2014)
A/B or 9
Solid movie with good jokes and some sweet action.
If you like the Seth Rogen/James Franco humour, you'll like this.

Quarantine (2008)

Remake of the Spanish found footage film REC. It's about a television reporter and her cameraman who follow a group of firefighters to a routine call at an apartment complex where a lethal virus breaks out that turns the victims into rabid predators.

Pretty much exactly the same as REC but without the atmosphere and authentic-feel. It's still pretty scary, though. If you're going to pick between this and REC, I recommend REC.

The Village
7/10

Fully engrossing film-scape and story. I think my enjoyment was helped by actually reading some descriptions before I saw it (which I usually avoid like the plague). I knew it wasn't going to be a scary gruesome film. It's a modern fairy tale grounded in reality.

The 'pilgrims progress' type of dialogue, and no contractions allowed, felt a bit literary, but the actors were so good, they pulled it off, and it lent to the feel of the purity the village was able to achieve.

The best lines from the film were,

Quote:
Mrs. Clack: How could you have sent her. She is blind.

Edward Walker: She is more capable than most in this village. And she is led by love. The world moves for love. It kneels before it in awe.
If you love your family, especially if you have children, I think it's easy to appreciate the film's overall heart and message. It's a simple story. The cinematography, directing, sound and score are very smooth and engrossing.

The Grudge 2 (2006)

Three interwoven stories of people haunted by the vengeful ghost that spreads its curse wherever it goes.

This was boring as hell, and the scares were so god damn repetitive. How many times does the movie feel it needs to show Kayako's hands coming from behind someone's head before killing them? We already saw that in the first one, and it was a lot more effective there. It had a good score and some great eye candy, and there were a couple times I did jump. However, this was just an unnecessary and tedious sequel made for the sole purpose of showing more ways that Kayako can kill people.

3/10
