AILEEN WOURNOS: THE SELLING OF A SERIAL KILLER (1993). Uneven in parts, but decent Doc on "America's First Female Serial Killer" as the media named her (Not true) with Court footage and interviews. While it focuses on her crimes, it seems there's more reveal of what the DVD jacket describes as "Conniving Opportunists" out to make a buck out of Media presentation from her story. The worst of the bunch is Aileen's "Adoptive" Mother and the Lawyer assigned to her case...it's almost appalling to see Greed in such detail.
As for Aileen herself, so incredibly damaged. What she did was certainly not cricket, but no doubt the first murder was self defense and her rage from her past probably pushed her over the edge. You will feel pity for her one moment and then Your blood will freeze when she shoots the angry look. ***
