That said, the action in this one is better. The underwater scene is pretty entertaining and tense.

It also helps that the actors were better than in part 3. Or at least, they were played to their capabilities. Ron Perlman does a good badass and Brad Dourif is at his best when he does a weirdo. And of course the beauty of Winona. Even as a robot
Just hated the monster. Horrible what they tried there.

Nobody.
Now, I've only seen the first John Wick...and I have to say that while quite a bit more stylised than "Nobody" was, I preferred Nobody quite a bit...the character was more interesting as was his past...and that whole "shaking off the rust" bit was great, too.

An actually conflicted character played by a guy who, despite his comparative lack of popularity, can act circles around Keanu - I mean shit, did ANYONE watch this and think "Saul" the whole time? I know I sure as fuck didn't.

Was nice to see Chris Lloyd again too.

Overall I found this very entertaining...you want a modern day "Death Wish"?
Well forget about the bland remake - this is the movie you want.
7.5/10.

PEPPERMINT (2018). This could be a DEATH WISH on Estrogen movie. Jennifer Garner is pretty good as the woman who loses her family, is severely traumatized/injured in the attack and terribly let down by the Legal system. Going undercover for a few years, She returns to mete out justice-Her way.

Not great, but certainly not bad at all. JG kicks all kind of Ass in her and this could be a darker version of Sidney Bristow (Her character from the TV series ALIAS) and also, she is in excellent shape as well. ***

I kept passing on this because I thought it was a comedy, a bit disturbing.

The Night House: I liked this a lot, but I’m confused about something..

Spoiler

If “nothing” could go directly to her the whole time why did it try using the husband? Maybe I missed something.

End spoiler

Either way I think I’d still give this a 7/10. Very well done movie in my opinion.
