Human Head Found On Shore Of Bay
Human Head Found May Belong To Murdered Teen
Panama City, Florida -- Authorities suspect that a human head found in shallow water near the shore of St. Andrew Bay is that of a woman slain in March. A man walking his dog spotted a wrapped item, which turned out to be the head, in 1 to 2 feet of water Monday. The District Medical Examiner's Office had not yet forwarded a positive identification Tuesday, said Bay County sheriff's spokeswoman Ruth Sasser. Investigators believe it likely is the head of 18-year-old Lennia Hing, who lived nearby. The rest of her mutilated body was found in the same area March 30. Her estranged husband, Blake Collier, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He is being held without bond at the Bay County Jail. He told The News Herald of Panama City in a jailhouse interview that he killed her "so we could be together forever."
