Hi, everyone.
My name is Jesse Williamson, I'm 24-years-old and I'm a film student in my final year of college. I'm a huge fan or 1970's and 1930's horror cinema - Jaws, Halloween, Creature from The Black Lagoon and Frankenstein in particular.
My idol and my absolute hero is Rob Zombie -- The Devil's Rejects and House of 1000 Corpses being the films that have had the most impact on me as a creative. I've currently written/directed/produced three short films -- all horror films set in the 70's and carrying themes from the 1930s -- it's a trend I hope I'll build my brand on. I'm currently working on my fourth project, which is also my major project, but it is a little different and not a horror film, it is a coming-of-age drama film in my style: extremely gritty and raw -- as if Rob Zombie directed a story by Mark Twain. I'm excited to talk film, but I also joined in an attempt to find a fanbase for my work as it's extremely niche (I've been told by tutors I wouldn't find a audience at all). I would love to get to know you and hopefully tell you a little more about my work. Cheers, Jesse |
