I'm not a
huge Dragonball fan, but I grew up with it (DBZ moreso than the original, but both for sure). Hell, Dragonball Z pretty much defines my middle school years - I really don't want them to fuck this up.
Trailer looks horrendous though...one of the coolest things about the show was the time period: you could never tell when in God's name it was set, because it mixed a whole bunch of ancient looking setting with ultra futuristic ones. This version looks firmly set in the present.
And what's with Roshi looking about 40? If that?
I think Marsters is great casting for Piccolo, but the trailer ruined it - at the very least keep him green. As it is he looks more like Dennis Hopper's version of Bowser :rolleyes: .
*sigh*...I guess we can hope it will do well at the boxoffice, and that we can see some of the Cell saga in the sequel. Or Frieza...Hell, I'd even be happy with Majin Buu - how badass would it be to see ANY of those on the big screen, done properly?
