This isn't the ONLY forum where things like this happen

Okay - as I tried to say in an earlier post but kafuffled me words!! - cant we have some kind of permanent notice - a warning for children who may frequent this forum. Us grown ups (mature people - not necessarily old fogeys!) do have a responsibility to protect people on here as was pretty obvious from the banning of *you know who*, etc..
The fear was, if we put up a warning it may scare people away - but we dont necessarily have to encourage the grassing up of potential abusers - just a permanent message like:
As you have entered a forum open to anybody from the www - we would like to point out that not all people will be friendly. If you have your profile set to receive Private Messaging, please understand that you will receive messages from anyone - nice people and not so nice people. It may be that the not so nice people will try and get you to do or say things that you do not want to do and, if at anytime you feel unsafe and not sure you want to continue communicating with these people, please either ignore them or block them. If you require instructions on how to ignore or block someone, please contact the moderators.
We would like to think you come here for enjoyment and not to have somebody hurt you in anyway, so please stay vigilant.
Something like that!! Its still early for me, so excuse if it appears OTT or anything.
It's just a suggestion but I do feel a little permanent note would be beneficial and the right thing to do!!!
