What doesn't get on your nerves?
 

An alternative to pessimistic posting. I figured that we have plenty of threads to complain in and or 'vent' in so what about a positive thread where anything positive that makes or made you happy somehow goes. (people, places, things, pictures,jokes...ect)

Just an idea I sort of got after my post in 'a fine weekend' where ferret chucker replied:


idk you might think I'm gay...so I am, if by gay you mean happy ;)

so here's what made me happy so far today:

1)filling out 11 different job applications online for a hospital I've been wanting to work at for a while...I find job hunting fun even when I already have a job, I would like a second one.
2)coffee..mmmmm

Today my coffee maker worked so perfectly. Made me the best pot of coffee ever. Also earlier i figured out why my computers been freezing and i fixed it. :D

I did the nervous job of being the first to dance at a party today, but it got everyone else up!

beautiful naked women almost never get on my nerves.

Pizza. My daughter belly laughing. My wife pouting.(no really, its adorable)

definately one of my favorite things - when my son does that.
and all someone has to do is fart in a film - gets him every time

That never gets on my nerves either.

Lizards, storms, silkworms, the smell of earth, the smell of storms, rain, cold showers, ginger, pizza, the girl (mostly), teatree oil products, salmon, tomatoes, the smell of sandalwood, the feel of plants, just...stuff...everywhere.

Making other people happy. Seriously, I've become a real softy in recent years, and nothing makes me happier than getting other people to smile.

Learning. I love to learn about anything and everything. I find the world a fascinating place, and I don't see how I could ever get bored of it. Even if I lived forever (which I honestly wouldn't mind) I could always find something new to try. I could read every book ever written, try to learn to play every instrument, learn to speak every language.

Sappy, I know, but that's the kind of person Flayed has grown up to be. I can think of worse ways to turn out I suppose.

I agree with you completely. If there was some way to stop the aging process I would love to live forever- some much that could be learned & experienced.

Last year I applied to sit this MYOB correspondence course but there
were no available spaces up untill yesterday, they called to see if I was still interested..LIKE HELL YEAH!!!!.
The best thing is ..I can complete my studies and still get credit for it
even if em not in the country.

Graphic designin' and html/css almost never gets on my nerves. It's a challenge but I love it.
Coming home and wearing slippers and drinking a hot cup of tea while working on my website project is even better =)
Being done my programming exam and totally done with that class has made me relax so much. Aced my english exam today too.
Also seeing my boyfriend makes me smile, and my sister has a dance recital tomorrow. She's wearing a 60's outfit I made for her and dancing to a song from Hairspray. Makes me proud.

Make up sex doesn't get on my nerves.

alcohol doesnt get on my nerves ever <3

also pretty girls, singing, video games, and good friends.

the only time alcohol gets on my nerves is when I lay down and get the spins..I hate knowing that I'm going to barf.

Also some old people dont get on my nerves, this really sweet lady complimented my tattoos today at the super market i was suprised because i mostly get stares like :eek: haha, she said the rose on my arm was beautiful. it was sweet.

I agree. Since I worked another 40 hour week I plucked two more angels of the Salvation Army tree this morning while doing my morning laps and bought one girl some V.C. Andrews books (her request; if it was up to me I'd have got her some H.P. Lovecraft and Robert Bloch) and slipped in a copy of Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game. The other "angel" wanted an mp3 player so I drove over to Wal-Mart and found a 1GB player for around thirty bucks. Heck, I would have liked to have that myself, as another thing that doesn't get on my nerves is making my own CDs. (I suspect CDs are becoming passe and mp3 is now the :cool: way to go.)

Awe really? Im really lovie dovie my old girlfriend was too and my recent one was aswell i love a cuddle loving lady! I cuddle my dog but he's a little ass hole after like 5 mins he'll start biting me and wanting to wrestle. Hes crazy.

I'm sad that the "What gets on your nerves" thread if overpopulating this one, so I am bumping it. Cause sad people suck and I am sick of having to make sad people smile. It should be fucking common sense to just fucking be happy. It's good for you.

What doesn't get on my nerves is that I just found a pair of 3D glasses in my room that I was keeping for no purpose. Sooo I am ammusing myself with 3D pictures!!!!! I am aslo sorta drunk I think.

No, there are a lot of things that legitimately get on peoples nerves. The topic started out fine, and I've used it to vent once or twice but the sheer amount of moping is tiresome and depressing. It's a new year and I think it should start out on a lighter note. I am simply trying to make people realize it's so much easier and healthier to be happy.

But why would you assume that someone is sad? I don't see any moping happnin around here cept for the RIP thread.
