This was an unimaginably beautiful, intriguing, and intense film. Despite being a three hour movie, it keeps your attention with twists, breathtaking imagery, and thought-provoking themes. If you have a developed attention span and an open mind, you'd be a fool to not see this. Interstellar is the best movie I've seen all year.

Thank you for your review, I really would like to see this one!

I am a huge Potter fan so I would have rated this higher!

An okay time waster but instead of that modern day set-up, I'd prefer a more simple & traditional ending i.e. Harker visiting Count's Castle!

That's that icecream that you light on fire, right? Oh yes, I get into that!

"Altar" 6/10

Had nearly all the ingredients to be a good haunted house flick. Good story, scenery, atmosphere, camera work, score and decent acting. Only 1 thing missing. Shit just wasn't scary. The ghost wasn't the least scary and neither was Mathew Modine as "Jack Torrance". For shame.

And excuse me, but what a horrible mother. Pissed me off. ::mad::

WE STLL KILL THE OLD WAY

a disrepectful group of little scrotes kill an old time gangster and his brother and a group of old timers take matters into their own hands. started off dodgy but improves, the old guys are cool as fuck. 8/10

Giganticface 12-29-2014 02:48 PM

horrorcrux and vampyd1977 -- you guys ought to put the movie title in the post body so that when someone quotes you, we know what movie is being discussed.

vampyd1977 12-29-2014 03:57 PM

sorry :(

i usually put it in the title but will try n put it in the main area...

ISLE OF DOGS

a maniacle gangster has his cheating wife murdered but it goes wrong n she kills lots of folk. 5/10

citadel

a young scottish man`s wife is killed by "young kids" and he is left with a baby and sever agoraphobia, when his daughter is stolen he and a priest go looking for her and the creatures that stole her, a low budget horror from a scott/irish partnership that works really well, bleak with outstanding performances 8/10

devils knot

3 young boys are killed and devil worship is blamed, the folowing trial of 3 young men is shown, plus so much more. very enjoyable drama/thriller 7/10

Inside (2007)

On Christmas Eve night, a pregnant woman is assaulted and tormented by a mysterious stranger who wants her unborn baby.

This was the most fucked up movie I've seen... although, there are still more films that I dare to watch. It was incredibly gory, scary, and atmospheric. There's hardly a frame in this movie that isn't completely drenched in blood, and the viewer feels suffocated by the morbid atmosphere, mostly due to the cinematography and score. It was far from a pleasant viewing, but it was a damn scary and memorable one.

I really can't give this a rating. Technically, it was expertly made, but I found it almost impossible to enjoy.

found footage comp

just watched one of this rounds contenders exibit a starts very slow with quite a happy vibe , from there it takes a sinister turn as the family slowly falla apart and comes to a chilling conclusion. one of the few found footage movies that actually relies on proper camcorder footage, filmed on a budget but with very good performances from all involved 7/10

Ditto! Strangely this is a very less seen (due to unavailability may be) & underrated found footage horror which definitely deserves more attention from the genre fans.

"The Guest" 8/10

If the cover had looked more interesting, I would have looked into this movie much sooner, coz it turned out to be a blast, with a bad ass, no-nonsense, robotic personality, very much like Sasha Mitchell's role in "Class of 1999 II: The Substitute" which I also happen to like a lot.

So if you liked Class of 1999 II: The Substitute i'd say give this one a try. It's the directors best. Yes, that's right. Fuck "You're Next". ::cool::

Agree, the movie needed a better poster & more coverage. The actor on the lead has good potential & I think we'll get to see him more regularly in action, thriller or may even in superhero movies in coming days.

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (2014)

Saw this with a bunch of my friends. It was predictable since it's the third movie in the series, but it had some funny moments, and we had a good time.

Was this the one from Japan? It was tedious but I found that pace almost compelling. I gave up the first time watching it but tried it again and kind of dug it.

I would guess about 6? But for some odd reason she was really good at reading. I'm not even sure I could read a single word at that age.

I really liked the poltergeist girl. Didn't think she was that bad an actor and she looked adorable. ::smile::

Discopath (2013)

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...psd5856afc.jpg

The production value, particularly the 70s set up/look was decently done but other than that, it was like a 70s poor Euro trash.

The Maze Runner (2014)

A+

I really enjoyed this one! It reminded me a lot of Lord of the Flies, only with a futuristic twist to it. I cannot wait to see what they do with the other movies!!

The Devil's Hand (2014)

B

I liked this even though it felt like it was missing something. At moments, it felt like it was an overused cliche of other stories like this one. It did have an unexpected twist to it which was nice.

I don't know if this actually should be my finally grade since I fell asleep half way through it ::embarrassment:: I would like someone else to watch it and share their opinion. What I did see was pretty boring. I may try to give it another shot.

WILD COUNTRY 2005

A group of Scottish teens are left in the wild to fend for themselves overnight. Its part of a Church group type of thing. They find an abandoned infant which leads to something finding them. BIT OF A SPOILER AHEAD

The Haunted (1991)
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pX2Oxaq6jy...n-dvd-f913.jpg
Though it bears all the marks of a made for Tv film, this is a fun little spook fest based on a real life haunting and features an appearance from the famous Warren ghostbusting team. There is one really outstanding scene I will leave it at that.

Would You Rather (2012)
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0Izl9rjSWX...ie_Posters.jpg
Jeffrey Combs chews the scenery wonderfully in this SAW inspired Horror (ala Cheap Thrills/13 Sins). It is surprisingly tame for the 'genre' and there is not much left to see though the compulsory twist might amuse some.

I think I've seen this one.
Does it end with the family moving out of the house and one member calling on another but the reply comes from upstairs instead or outside or something similar.
If that's the one, I think it was pretty decent and creepy for the time.

Upon reflection, it wasn't fair just to end this post with a smart ass comment. The film, while I feel it "took" from a few other films, was entertaining and effort was put into it to be so.
