I used to watch entire series over a weekend. And then I got a job. Thanks to Netflix though I have a mighty need for American Horror Story and Gotham. I may be again binge watching soon.

Aww, thanks guys! That makes me feel all toasty inside. ::smile::
Did I miss anything exciting? I'm working on playing 'catch up' but it'll take some time. I have so much art to post elsewhere and the list of movies I got to watch has grown immensely. ::big grin::

Best season premier yet.

TheBossInTheWall 10-08-2015 04:45 PM

Really rough 5 days. And thus I'm missing Chameleons Vox tonight(The Chameleons minus 2 members). They're going to be gone, and likely not coming back and playing in the US. Due to my 5 rough days I'm not physically able to go. Really sad. :(

Sweet! This event MAY require pics, Jake.

Trying to find the thread that had a recent post. Wish I could remember the member who posted, or even the name of the movie they referenced. It was an early 80's Italian horror. Whoever posted it said it was made for fans of Italian horror and there was a pic of a movie poster attached. I swear it went up today or late yesterday. Anybody? I really liked what the post had to say about the movie and need to add it to my " must see" list.

That is so precious! I'll never forget my first haunted house. -nostalgic sigh-
I still visit it as often as I can, even if it isn't near as scary as the first few times I went through it.

I'll be going to our local haunt either the 23rd or 24th since I'll be out of town next weekend. Hmm... or could maybe go tomorrow or today... Sucks these things are usually only open on weekends.

Show them a picture of the White House, that should be frightening enough. Seeing that the devil actually resides there.

While we are on the subject, I used to think Obama was the 2nd coming of Hitler but now I am more confident that Donald Trump is, and that he as seen Machete Kills way too many times.

MovieLover12 10-09-2015 03:42 PM

With what's happening nowadays, Hitler was nothing but a school-yard thug playing the power game.

That's pretty much what Trump is. He is just a spoiled rich asshole that thinks since he is a successful businessman he can run a country but all he wants to do as president, or so he says, is get rid of immigrants. If he did that all that would be left are the native Americans considering we are all immigrants.

As I don't vote, people say to me that I don't have a right to complain. I then say that I shouldn't pay my taxes. They oppose this by saying I still have to pay my taxes.

To whom? Remember, I don't vote, so in effect, nobody represents me.

Now we come to the same situation in which Americans fought the Revolution!

Taxation Without Representation.

I have always heard that same thing about not being allowed to complain. This is our country isn't it? The presidential election of 2000 proved that votes don't mean shit when you have money and power. As of right now I have no plans on voting again. Even if any further elections I vote in aren't a sham, it comes down to whoever wins will just be a douche or a turd like the south park episode says. Our country has now moved from a joke to a dangerous threat when we have countries like Russia now becoming angry with us and as far as I know China is much closer with Russia than with us so if thy turn against us too we are all fucked.

horcrux2007 10-10-2015 02:41 PM

Why so much political talk here? That's just gonna start shit.

I don't understand how people can watch only one episode a week of a show.

That's actually easy for me. Being an older chap, I was raised waiting a week or more for the next episode. Still doesn't bother me. What I do find unreal is that, in order to watch my favorite movies, I used to have to wait until the local stations would air them. Prior to the home video era, we fans would scour the TV guide each week and hope to see King Kong or Psycho in the listings. Today, I can't believe there was a time when I couldn't just toss a Texas Chainsaw Massacre disc in the player.

I grew up fairly old school. Only 3 channels and my favorite shows were usually on TV and meant waiting a week for new episodes. I remember recording them on VHS to rewatch several times to curb my excitement for the next new episode during the week. Nowadays though I just let the show air and after enough episodes are released I binge watch them when I feel like it. I don't have the rabid fangirl love for shows like I used too.

I prefer to watch some shows that way. Shows like Game of Thrones and Walking Dead don't lend themselves to binge watching for me because I like to talk about the show with people, go over theories of why something happened or may happen, and I enjoy the building anticipation of the upcoming episode.

Martha 10-12-2015 07:12 AM

Being of grandmother age, I have been watching one episode of TV shows a week over my life.

So! I am used to it.

With DVD's and complete series I can now watch more than one episode at a time, or every now and then when the sci fi does ma Twilight Zone marathon.

But I just sit and wait anxiously!

Vaca in two days! So exciteddddd. I feel like I need to have a classic monster movie marathon to prepare myself. Time to dig out my collections. And sob cause I don't have all of them. (I especially need Claude's Phantom of the Opera and The Invisible Man so bad it hurts)

As soon as my PS4 sells on ebay and I get paid I am going to sign up for the James Patterson Masterclass. I love writing and even had a novella published. I was kinda screwed on promotion of the book andfelt like I rushed writing it and I want to rewrite it and I feel like this online course will help me tremendously.

What kinda stuff do you usually write??

Morningriser 10-14-2015 09:41 PM

The novel I am working on is called The Blood Reapers. It is about a young Frenchman named Julian Frost living in New York City where he spent his teens with his sister. He loses his parents in a double murder and his sister in a car accident. He is about to end it all when he meets an attractive woman named Violet who teaches him how to live again, even in death as a vampire.

I refuse to give anything else away lol
