I love The Collector, but Spirits of the Dead is a great anthology movie. Particularly the Fellini segment.

Spirits of the Dead

The fact that "Brigitte Bardot" and "orgy" appear on the same poster is only a bonus.

5-0-0, Spirits of the Dead runs through to the pretty comfortable double shutout.

I had the great fortune to see this film on the big screen about 10 years ago, sponsored by a college film club. An amazing experience, marred only by the representatives of the club itself- a gaggle of college intellectual effetes who considered themselves better than the material, and giggled and smirked all the way through the showing. Infuriating!

It was accompanied by Stan Brakage's autopsy footage- which at least stunned them into silence.

Already have some idea about how interesting the movie was and very soon going to watch it for sure, so voting Mushroom People. :)

missmacabre 10-17-2009 08:20 AM

Astro Zombies, sheerly for an awesome sounding title that makes me want to seek it out.

Astro Zombies is wonderfully bad- but I vote for Matango.

_____V_____ 10-17-2009 08:23 PM

3-2-0, Matango: Attack of the Mushroom People is just one step ahead of Astro Zombies.

More votes needed...

I think its just limited to Witchfinder General around these parts. Sad but true.

5-4-1, Astro Zombies make a comeback and pip Matango: Attack of the Mushroom People to the winning post.
