Just finished watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2...I can't believe that Dustin had NEVER seen it...Amazing...

I swear, sometimes I think this one is even better than the first one.......sometimes.....

"Versus"

AUSTIN316426808 05-01-2005 03:12 PM

The Interpreter -10/10, Great acting, Sean Penn and Nicole Kidman were definately at their best in this one. Sydney Pollock did an amazing job creating a very intense, suspenseful and imo very unpredictable film, just when you think you're sure about something it totally changes around. The thing I liked most about it was that unlike most other films it didn't go with Murphy's Law, all the twist were just creative writting and directing.

The_Return 05-01-2005 04:12 PM

Ive watched a few since I last posted...

Starting off, I finally got to see Friday the 13th. Yes, incredibly, this is the 1st time I saw it. I thought it was pretty good for a slasher flick, didnt hold up to NOES or Halloween though. But the ending was pretty amazing.

Then I watched an episode of Lucky Luke that was marketed as a movie, called Ghost Train. I thought it was pretty damn good...predictible, but still hilarious and action packed!

I also watched the fantastic Theatre of Blood for prbably the 9th-10th time...god I love that movie! One of VP's best preformances, no question.

Althought it has no chance in hell of making my top 3 I thought it was pretty good too. I bought it God knows how long ago but just watched it a couple days ago.

Instinct-5 1/2 out of 10, It's an interesting story with an ok script and Hopkins and Gooden Jr. gave solid preformances. The ending good and completely unexpected. So overall it was an alright film with a few great moments.

slasherman 05-01-2005 05:14 PM

Think I go for "Frankenfish" this night...no expectations :)
Have seen "Beyond Conspiracy"..I good dokumentary about the Kennedy killing.... Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone killer afterall...Its exiting to think there was a conspiracy but it probably wasnt...

urgeok 05-01-2005 07:58 PM

I 'heart' Huckabees

great film .. it's quirky (and god knows that there is a plethora of 'quirky' films out there) but still fresh and origional. And it DOES make you think a bit.

Fantastic music too.

Keep in mind that this is one filmmaker's opinion.

Saw it in the theaters and was pleasantly surprised. I thought I was going to see some chick flick with my girlfriend and found myself watching a film about philosophy and existentialism. Fun!

yeah I know...In my opinion the strongest argument for Lee Harvey Oswald being the lone killer:
Why would he escape from the murderscene if he wasnt the killer ? ...but I liked the movie "JFK"

bwind22 05-01-2005 08:59 PM

Dog Soldiers. It rocked as usual. 9.5/10 A

Here's Oswald's "escape" of the scene:
He walked out of the front door of his workplace, not the closer rear exit. He then caught a bus to go home, but switched to a taxi, due to the heavy traffic conditions. Interestingly, the bus that Oswald initially took would bring him closer to the assassination scene, not away from it.

Watched part of Luther on Saturday, I'll probably watch the rest of it tonight. It's about Martin Luther, the founder of the Lutheran Church.

I'm assuming this is directed at me - I didn't finish watching it. My nephew wanted to play Monopoly.

I started watching "Ghost of the Needle" last night ,but I fell asleep. What I saw was pretty good for a low budget movie.
I have a feeling the misses and myself are going to see Sin City tonight. Fingers are crossed.

Then he shot a policeman and ran into a cinema without paying...:D

Didnt see "Frankenfish" yesterday..I guess its that type of movie that can lay around for awhile without having to see it...Its nice to have some backup movies for a rainy day....And that "Sin City" movie didnt work on my computer....I guess it was a bad "filmed with a camcorder in a cinema" feeling to it anyway

sin city is worth the exception. It's a big movie that deserves a big screen and sound ..

I also have it in AVI format.....looks like a camcorder shot. I only watched the first few minutes, but like Urgeok says....this is one of those movies best seen on the big screen.

Just talked to the wife on the phone...she wanted to know what time the movie was....its looking good....hee..hee.....unless she breaks a nail:rolleyes:
