Completely gripping and suspenseful film.

i'm pretty sure i'd know what i'd do.

i'd rather take the chance and let them in ...
i'd rather die together - than live knowing i did nothing.

everyone dies..

It's still an interesting movie seeing how everything plays out. It's not predictable at all.

i've looked at the cover a couple of times ... for some reason i thought it was a documentory.

i'll probably check it out now.

Last saw Dog Soldiers. I was never a fan of werewolves but these ones sure kicked some human ass! 8/10.

Quarantine

not much of a thriller for me, but it was definately a different kind of movie that kept me talking about it after it was over.

You do know that this is a remake of [Rec]....don't you?

it's probably a bit of both, but it's mostly because i'd seen the original a couple times before i saw the remake, and i just thought, "i've seen this already, and it was better."

Indiana Jones Gets Some Skull.

didnt improve with the second viewing ... it's ok .. not great.

found it tough to watch them go over the 3 giant waterfalls and survive again.

it was easier to believe in the ending than that.

I was disappointed to hear that this one was average. I think Raiders was the only one that kicked my ass. The others had their moment for sure but that flick is just gold.

I didn't even mind that part, the part that got me was that Tarzan shit. The rest of the movie I had a lot of fun with.

He was alright, same thing as Transformers though, he needs things constantly exploding around him so the audience doesn't notice his lack of charisma.

We'll see, I've yet to see something I've seen him in and really thought HE made the film but then again I didn't particularly like Disturbia as a whole. I don't hate him by any means, just undecided as of yet.

I was happy to see that he didn't get to try on Indy's hat at the end....let the series die with Harrison Ford. Although I still think they could do one more....but its probably doubtful.

Raging Bull with storyteller's commentary.

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind with commentary.

urgeok2 10-16-2008 06:17 AM

I forgot - I bought a used copy of Postal last night ..

didnt watch the movie but there is a special feature called Raging Boll ..
that featured 4 of Uwe Bolls boxing bouts with his critics ...

was funny seeing my friend Chris getting his clock cleaned on TV ... he was the best of the bunch though - almost made it to round 2

Painfulldeath 10-16-2008 06:15 PM

Saw In the Mouth of Madness. Solid movie. Second-best Carpenter movie behind The Thing. 7.75/10

bloody_ribcut 10-16-2008 06:38 PM

Funny that, eh? Almost like he spends too much time and effort into boxing, but not his attempts at film making...

Postal, I think is his only tolerable film to date. It kind've resembles the plot to postal 2 if you ever played that, but it's not important, at least in this case, the game and universe was stupid, crazy shit to begin with - I think that's why it worked a little better.

ROLLING THUNDER

I love these 70's action movies

That flick is awesome. Big fan of these revenge kinda deals.

Geddy 10-17-2008 02:41 AM

Bottle Rocket.

Vodstok 10-17-2008 06:02 AM

Vacancy. I was surprised, i actually enjoyed it.

***spoiler**

The one stand out part was Kate Beckinsale landing on the gun, turning around and the resounding "click", and just enough of a pause for you to think she is screwed before, unlike very other movie like this, she just goes ahead and tries the other cylanders anyway.

An overlooked masterpiece right there - one of Price's best movies.

"Nine killed you...nine shall die...nine eternities in doom!"

I started watching Monster on the Campus last night...really enjoyed what I saw, but I just couldn't keep my eyes open. Looking forward to finishing it tonight though, cool flick so far.

Legend of Sleepy Hollow (the Disney cartoon)

I wonder if NE ever has that song (The Headless Horseman, the one from the short or the version by the Moon-Rays) on NEW Radio. I haven't heard it yet...

Didn't that just get cleaned up on a nice new release. Been wanting to get it. Love the psycho-vet movies.

novakru 10-17-2008 06:31 PM

Ella Enchanted- how cute.
This movie has been a unopened Christmas present for the girls for about 2 years.
I had no idea it was so adorable. I had no idea Cary Elwes was in it.
I had no idea they had special effects.
I had no idea Eric Idle was in it!
I guess I just thought any movie with Anne Hathaway was horrible.
Recommended :)

I have an old song from the 40s by Kay Starr called The Headless Horseman in the mix. I haven't seen the Disney cartoon in forever so I can't remember the song, so I'm not sure if it's the same one or not.

Don't have the Moon-Rays.

Same song for sure, I like the Moon-Rays version a bit more but Starr's is good too. :)
