Always. I also get bored sometimes while I'm watching something, even if it's entertaining. Weird.

neverending 09-23-2008 07:35 PM

When that happens, TURN OFF THE DAMN TV and go outside. Take a walk.

I would, but it's usually 4am when that happens. I'm not particularly keen on being assaulted, judgy-wudgy.

I often do something else while watching movies, such as playing guitar, posting in forums or surfing the net.

My concentration level really blows.

I blame..... someone else..

I'm glad to see i'm not the only one here with the attention span of a humming bird...

I usually play on my computer while watching movies, unless im hanging out with my wife, in which case i usually talk her ear off the whole time. its very annoying.

Yea, I'm like that as well.

Just haven't got a computer game to play at the moment. PS3 has taken over.

But... That uses your tv... What will you watch while you're playing? :)

There's always streamings on the internet. ;)

But to be honest, most of the time when i come home from work, i'll just be watching tv sitcoms or something else that doesn't need my brain to function.

I can relate to this too. After 9 hours of programming, I usually need a little brain relaxation.

Fortunately, I have these guys to listen to on the way home from work:

Clear and Present Danger

It's the first Jack Ryan movie I have seen, I was suprised at how weak the character was. But the movie was alright, the assasination scene was awesome.

6/10

Some nice, intense action in that one. If you want to put yourself through some truly weak Jack Ryan, watch The Sum of All Fears

The movie was pretty not great, but it was one of Affleck's better roles. Just when I'm convinced he is completely without merit, he does something like Sum or Changing Lanes and I am forced to reevaluate him. He is only mostly terrible.

_____V_____ 09-24-2008 10:54 AM

Nothing like cute little cars driving through the screens into the living room.

The Love Bug.

Have always had a soft spot for Herbie. Even after 40 years, it still doesnt fail to charm. You gotta love the movie, and all the characters in it.

Rating - * * * ½

Herbie Rides Again.

Weaker than the first one, but still very entertaining. Keenan Wynn is no Thorndyke, but there are several sequences in this one which are memorable.

Rating - * * ½

Next up for later - Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo.

If it comes on T.V I will watch it. But I'm not going to hunt it down, I'm no huge Afleck fan myself. You say changing lanes is good?

Tell me about it..

I nearly got dragged to the cinema to see it, managed to only have to watch it on dvd....

It was a sacrifice, one you make when you love some one, that is how I describe just the aspect of going to watch it in the first place.

The actual movie, we both thought it was shit, though we never switched it off, but no one knows why???

urgeok2 09-24-2008 03:00 PM

jesus christ ..

little miss sunshine is a gem ..

what possible faults did it have ??

no eye gougings ?

a lot of movies i can understand why there would be dispairity in tastes ..

but this movie was well written, well acted, well directed....

i cant think of a single problem with it

Vodstok 09-24-2008 03:04 PM

I actually started to get bored, then the end came. That was the best fucking dance routine EVER.

Angra likes JCVD, so him not liking Little Miss Sunshine shouldn't come as that big of a shock. :p

I didn't think it was very well acted, and I think the blame for that lays with the Producers and the directors.

novakru 09-24-2008 03:21 PM

Crazy Eights- it was Free on Demand, I got my mopping done whilst listening to it.
Not worth seeing.:(

I have The Fall coming in 3 selections away:)
I can't wait to see it, knowing so many people here loved it.

"The Westerner" (1940)

-Gary Cooper, Walter Brennan

A saddle tramp rides into a range war between cattleman. led by Judge Roy Bean, and crop raising homesteaders.

Highly entertaining 1940's western. Good amount of action and well written characters, with a surprising amount of humor.I enjoyed this film.

IT WASN'T FUNNY!!!!

Described on IMDB as the best comedy coming out of 2006.

So from that point of view it was disappointing as hell.

Besides, I really didn't think the story was very interesting.

Had no problem with the characters/cast tho. Thought especially Steve Carell did a good job. Nice to see him in a serious role.

Oh...yea.... right.

Haven't seen JCVD tho. But after reading the last review here i'm sure gonna.

Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo.

Better than the previous one of the series. Plenty of entertaining moments from the beginning (***MINOR SPOILER***) including the cars romancing, while prancing between the trees, and the (whoa!) ending. Has its share of flaws but still, a fun ride.

Mirrors (2008)

Inspired by the Korean Horror thriller Into the Mirror and surely which has much simpler & interesting plot, even better creepy moments than this one. In compare to the Korean original, they just screwed the whole story. Aja highly disappoints me this time.

The Blues Brothers (1980)

I'm sorry fanboys, but this was only mildly amusing. It was also indulgent and about 45 minutes too long.
