Meh...most of the IMDB users are dumbasses who have no idea how to appreciate a good movie. I wouldn't worry about them. :)

Considering your love for classic horror recently, I think it is IMPERATIVE that you watch Rocky Horror asap. If you love sci-fi and black humor blended with musical action, you are gonna love it. Just keep your brains on the shelf, and enjoy it. ;)

Tim Curry is a fantastic actor. He is the reason Rocky Horror and IT are still memorable even today. Among his other works, I would like to recommend :-

The Shout
Clue
Oscar
Passed Away

First one is supernatural horror, rest 3 are crazy, insane comedies.

Dante, you NEED to watch Clue for Tim Curry. He's hilarious the whole way through, but his manic energy in the last 10 minutes or so is truly a sight to behold.

As an actor, it floored me...the amount of energy and dedication that his role must have required would be through the roof.

apocalypse now (1979)

i've seen this movie i don't even know how many times,
and it still chills me to the bone.

truly one of the greatest films ever made.

I'll be sure to do that.Im really excited i found a new actor to watch. And he seems badass so far. From what you said he seems amazing.I hope to become an actor or a stage actor.I already started my band.I'm also bipolar so i might be able to pull off the different moods. But I don't know.I'll be sure to check out Clue. Thanks for telling me about it!

The Quiet ~ I liked it more than I expected to, surprisingly effective and well acted at times, though hard to watch. But some of the characters might as well not even be there, and some of the dialogue is just awkward. Wasn't crazy about the ending either.

Al Gore would sweep the democratic vote if they played this on TV and then he ran for office.

OF course, the Manbearpig thing might hurt him a bit.

there's that whole nearly killing 4 fourth graders thing, democrats frown on killing kids.

Oddly, republicans only object to killing them before they are born.

But remember, to find manbearpig, look for its droppings. they are like pig droppings, but more manbear like.

I'd actually seen it once before, a very long time ago, and thought it was good. But I was completely blown away this go-around.

I can't wait to watch the other cuts-which my roomate has.

He's got the 5-disc DVD pack which came in a silver briefcase? Then you are in for a treat.

The best one is Ridley Scott's Final Cut version.

In addition to checking that out, check out the documentary on disk 2. It is brilliant.

Stuck (2007)

http://entimg.msn.com/i/CS/061352h1.jpg

A tale of inhumane & selfishness that creates shocking consequences of complete misery and supreme pain. If you liked Jack Ketchum's The Girl next door (2007) and a big fan of Stephen King's Misery (1990) then I think you definitely need to give it a watch asap.

Kudos to Mena Suvari and Stephen Rea, both delivered nice performance.

"The Strangers" 3/10

Dull the first 50 minutes. Suspenseful but bad the last 30. Quite shocking ending tho.

A fart in the wind compared to "Vacancy".

Liv Tyler has grown quite a big butt. Not judging, just noticing.

Didn't actually hate it, chuckled numerously.
Uwe Boll must've had just what he needed with ridiculous subject matter to start with...it's not a thing of greatness by any means, but I am honestly surprised the guy made a film I didn't turn off.

Kind of pointless, I wasn't expecting to much anyway. But I guess with such a classic origanal it is a lot to live up to 20 years later...

************POSSIBLE SPOILERS **********************

I was surprised at how small the scope was. The conspiracy didnt seem to stretch too far beyond alfred molina and the scary albino. I thought it was supposed to be damn near every catholic clergyman vs tom hanks. i was a bit disappointed. but, i will watch damn near anything with paul bettany in it.
