I started watching Scary Movie 4 (I even found parts to like in the 3rd one) and within twenty minutes switched over to The Whitest Kids U'Know. I think my sense of humor committed suicide after those two.

The Fog and its remake were awesome together

Black Christmas and its remake were great together, too

The Wickerman and its remake was just a bad idea...I don't like the original...

The Royal Tenenbaums
funny, witty, and completly unique, complete with a grade A cast. just as good as the Dajeerling Limited if not better. I think im becoming a Wes Anderson fan.

Oh my god! Someone's opinion is actually different than mine! What do I dooo?!?!

Anyway...

Reeker - Pretty fun watch but very similar to Dead End.

Next - Meh. Hated the ending.

Grease - Now I know why it's a classic.

Fracture - Again, not really my type of shit, but not a bad watch.

Juno - 7/10
This film was way over-hyped. I can't believe it was nominated for Best Picture. I did like it, but all it was, was a well made teeny bopper flix.

yeah - i didnt like it at all.

i think the girl is capable of good things but that was the worse written bullshit pretentious character i've ever seen. so forced i'd be suprised if she didnt get hemmeroids in her mouth.

saddest thing is how everyone though that she was so cool and will now go around trying to immitate the way she talks.

alkytrio666 04-18-2008 06:32 AM

Yeah, I was peeved she got an Oscar nomination and my girl Keira didn't.

jaybomb 04-18-2008 06:52 AM

when a stranger calls on fearnet for free, this was the remake that i watched...
what a waste of time this was, horrible acting, the build up was worthless...

Also watched avp II, this was ok nothing special, but what i expected from this movie, also made me watch aliens which is one of my all time favs

True... she did pout a little less than usual in Atonement... she deserves an Oscar nod for that alone. :p

Not as bad as I thought it would be, actually a decent zombie flick.

À l'intérieur (Inside)

Wow...

This film is brutal and it may be a bit much for some people, even a couple of the folk that grace this board. There were some flaws such as a spot or two of bad CGI but it really didn't have that big of an effect on the film as a whole. Béatrice Dalle was INSANE and played her role to perfection, really standing out from the rest of the cast even though all that actors delivered competent performances. A very dark, very gruesome film and I thoroughly recommend it to all the people on here who really enjoy gore in their thriller/horror films. Maybe not for you Urge, even though Betty is it.

That movie baffled me...I loved it, but hardly understood a second of it. Really cool movie, IMO.

The Forbidden Kingdom

i was worried that it would be crap - but really - it delivered.
not hard core martial arts film or anything - just a really good time.

Diary 04-18-2008 07:06 PM

Two more people are in the dirt where they belong now. People are finally getting taken out in groups which means that soon, this hunting zone will have a lovely carpet of red foliage. It also means that I will be able to go home. Earlier we were told of another twist, another little hitch in the game that’s supposed to scare us. Seems to be another presence out there now, not some silly assassin trying in vain to scare us but a real hunter… a predator. Now the hunting zone has been divided and we have to be careful about where we go to kill, or in some cases hide. No more will a hunter with a rocket launcher feel shielded from harm and the hunted may stand no chance now. I can’t wait to win and go home but I think I may be more excited about the possibility of so many more corpses. I don’t know why but the prospect of lining up a row of bodies that belonged to the people I ate with and walked past earlier, people who I’m “friends” with and people I’m making plans against really gets the blood running through my veins. These pages I’ve been leaving around were meant to be found after the game was over but after checking a few spots last night I think somebody has been reading my little journal. I hope somebody finds this one soon because I’d like them to get a chance to know how I feel before they’re eviscerated. Or maybe instead of “they” I should say… you.

I was all but sure that it would suck.

And why the hell is a Diary page in this thread?

"Meet the Spartans".
A (very) few funny moments, but as ever, bored more than anything when I see this group of films...These guys really oughta get over the carmen electra chick...
Agreed with the critics about the "too gay" orientation of the jokes, or at least way too much reference to the same joke.
300, guys in their underwear, gay, right? ... ...yeah, we know...what an annoying highschool kid of a waaayyy too long joke they made that.
Most of the pop references were just dumb, waaay way way behind the times, and not really funny at all.

One redeeming feature - better than date movie.
That's about all I feel like I can say there.
We make our own jokes about this stuff - which is why nothing seems fresh from this crew whatsoever.
