I'm watching the special features of Sin City. Clive Owen is quickly climbing up my list of favourites actors.. He needs to make more movies like this and Shoot Em Up.

It was OK. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either.

Rear Window

Hitchcock really was a master. I haven't seen this one in years and it really holds up pretty well.

No the channel it was supposed to be on changed it's mind and played the dark half. They advertised it a lot too so I was sorta pissed

Dawn of the Dead '04- 6/10 I always like this movie.

Doom- 3/10 for the 1st person part.

Most importantly:

Sunshine- 9/10 .....I don't even know what to say. Somewhere between the amazing visuals and overall plot and themes, or maybe the intensity in the last 30 minutes, I was won over... and that was phenomenal. I don't care if some people thought it sucked, that was totally spectacular. Go see it right this fucking second.

Vodstok 01-19-2008 08:28 PM

Dinosaur. not bad. definately not a kids movie. i get a kick out of prehistory movies that treat "before us" as all one period, putting animlals together that were seperated by millions of years. Its kind of like putting Patton and Colombus together in a movie together because, you know, they were around before us, so they must have been around at the same time, right?

Sweeney Todd. Well, at least I had a pass to see it for free. I don’t like Tim Burton, don’t like Johnny Depp and didn’t like this movie. Nothing at all to recommend it, actually, I think.

"The nines" 6-7/10

Good and original story executed the wrong way, imo.

This could have been a very good and deep thriller, but instead we get something that looks like a drama/comedy with no ups and downs at all. It just goes ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------. Even the big reveal in the end is pretty much unexciting.

U can't help feeling a little bit unsatisfied after watching this one.

But i always enjoy Ryan Reynolds and i thought Melissa McCarthy was terrific as well.

jaybomb 01-20-2008 07:58 AM

watched storm warning...the acting was horrible, ok story that was easy to perdict what was going to happen next...some good gore and kill scenes

man was this awesome. best mosnter scince godzilla....this thing would probably beat the shit out of godzilla too.
despite some medical improbabilities, this movie was phenomal and intense as fuck.

Just finishing up A Face in the Crowd again and I just can't get over how much I love this movie no matter how many times I see it. One of Kazan's best and I think it's at least as good as On the Waterfront.

Juno was definitely amazing.

Sunshine - 7.5/10
Danny Boyle has made a winner. I thought the film visually beautiful. Very colorful. It was was a little predictable though. Still worth the $4.00 rental fee IMO.

3:10 To Yuma 9/10
Best freaking western I've seen in the longest time. ANd I hate westerns.

joshaube 01-20-2008 10:57 PM

FINALLY going to see Cloverfield and JUNO tomorrow night, after many reschedulings.

I really want to sit down on Tuesday and watch both volumes of Kill Bill, back to back. It's one of my favourite films... it just pains me to know that The Whole Bloody Affair is coming. I kinda want to wait for that... but I'm sick and tired of how it keeps getting pushed back.
