An American Werewolf in London. I love that movie, although it feels too brief!

Hatchet - 8/10
Old School American Horror indeed. A great tribute to classic slasher films!
Smart, funny and gory as hell. I loved the parody the film had to offer. Adam Green did a fine job. Can't wait to see what he does next.

Fun with Dick and Jane

Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975)

A bit draggy at times, but overall it's a haunting and eerie Australian flick that still works very well.

30 Days of Night

A fun and gory good time. Definitely a must see during or around Halloween. Josh Hartnett is an awesome actor also.

SAW IV

It was ok, I'm not a huge fan of jigsaw though... and do you think they could do one of these movies without involving the police?

I'm fed up with useing the flashback technique aswell, in prt 5 we will probably learn about jigsaws childhood, prt 6 his conception and so on....

The story was jumping all over the place aswell, I'm not sure if it was a bad script or bad editing.

good gore though if that's all your after.

Planet Terror- 9/10

So close in rank to Death proof personally.... I can't get over the machine gun leg or how amazingly hot Rose is.

jaybomb 10-31-2007 02:09 PM

the howling, house of the dead and what a piece of crap this movie was everything about it sucked balls, the exorcist never get tired of watching that, friday the 13th part 3 and 7.

joshaube 10-31-2007 02:52 PM

I really liked Hatcher; actually, I've liked most slasher flicks done recently (Hatchet, The Tripper, Behind the Mask, etc...)

Mars Attacks!
Pretty fun. Wasn't blown away or anything, but the social commentary and parody / satire is just great.

The Mothman 10-31-2007 03:04 PM

Flight of the Living Dead

This was a little better than I expected, but still not what I'd consider a great movie. The acting's not very good, the story is extremely basic. There's a couple worthy comedic moments and scenes of gory deaths, but overall the plot and bad acting dragged this movie down.

C-

Night of the Living Dead (2007)

Netflix sent me the 2D version, which sucked because I had my 3-D ANOES shades ready and waiting. This movie was okay. Obviously a formulatic plot, but they threw a few new things in there. There's some good zombie gore. Sid Haig is always entertaining, but overall this film was just average.
