Bug ~ surprisingly good, though not what I was expecting.

The Wicker Man (remake )~ wow, did they screw this one up. Didn't have any of the mystery, or any of the feel of the original film. I like the casting of Ellen Burstyn, but alas, the film itself ignored all the details that made the original so interesting. It completely missed the point.

The Wicker Man (original) ~glad I finally own this one.

Really, don't bother if you can help it. The ONLY reason I watched it is because we have another free preview weekend. ;)

An American Haunting 8/10

SamCostello 10-07-2007 10:40 AM

Phantasm. Thought I loved this movie. Realized, after seeing it, that I had confused it with Phantasm 2, which is the one I love. This one? Not so much. Hard to believe this is considered a horror classic. You can see the development of the ideas that would make the sequel really good and fun, but this one is slow, boring, and unscary.

I'm getting really tired of the sheer mediocrity of my horror marathon. A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge. Holy homosexual.

Fiend Without a Face (1958)

Pretty dull most of the way through, but the finale makes it worth the wait.

Harold and Maude. Surprisingly funny. Really enjoyed this one.

Seriously, it's a great movie. I so wasn't expecting that, especially Bud Cort's character.

Yeah, probably my least favorite of the franchise.

1408 - 6/10
I had high expectations for this one. Cusack and Sam L. were good in their roles, but the film was just lacking. It was still worth the rental fee.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang ~ very entertaining. Enjoyed it a lot.

Bone Sickness ~ can't believe I actually wasted money on this, though it was very cheap.

Evil Dead 2 obviously good and 1408 which was really good and surprisingly made me jump more than once. The ending wasn't great though.

Pumpkinhead 4, at least it's the best Sci-Fi channel movie.

That doesn't include Sean, of course.
