eraserhead is overrated

No it isn't.

Mulholland Drive is pretty overrated though. As is Lost Highway.

yes - it is.

"Overrated" is just a word people use to make themselves feel good about not liking something other people do.

Its obvious Eraserhead won this, so Robocop gets my vote.

Definitely Eraserhead.

To certain extent yes. I personally use it to describe "x" that steals the thunder of "y" thats a better film/book/band/whatever.

That's a very interesting take on it...I always saw it as: Overrated = A lot of people like something just because a lot of people like it, whether it's actually any good or not

Elvis's viewpoint was also thought-provoking :)
