Faust: Love of the Damned ~ really bad, but so bad, its fun.

Headspace ~ flawed, but interesting. The biggest problem I had with it was that they showed too much, the creatures just didn't look good enough to show so well.

Doomed ~ Predictable, and dumb. And not even any gore to speak of, which might have kept me half way entertained.

Knocked Up

It's rare that a movie that gets THIS much hype actually lives up to it, but I was pleased to find that this really was one of the freshest, funniest movies in a while (Probably since Napoleon Dynomite). Funny story, good acting. My only complaint would be that a comedy over 2 hours long is pushing it, but it didn't seem to drag this film down any.

A-

Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Silver Surfer looked awesome and the special FX were great throughout, but this story suffered from a severe lack of logic. Galactus was changed from a giant planet devouring alien creature (in the comics) to a big cosmic dust storm, so that wasn't good. Without spoiling anything, the final method of defeating the bad guy didn't make any sense at all and the other incosistency was the power swapping. Every time power was swapped, it was swapped, except for the the last time when it wasn't swapped at all, it was just taken while the taker retained their own powers as well. Overall, this was alright, but there were too many inconsistencies in the plot.

I just saw those at bestbuy when I bought my classic horror box set. What are they like?

Last movie I saw was Jacob's Ladder. It was really good although Im not sure I would consider it a pure horror flick. Great movie though.

liked it alot better than 2....not a fan of any of the series really...but the last girlfriend was so....what did you think of if hellfire?

we should be seeing trailers for the 4th installment soon shouldnt we?

hellfire1 10-01-2007 10:17 PM

Ditto. Thought the plot was a lot better than 2's, plus... more gore, which is always a bonus. Kinda looking forward to 4 (just saw the trailer, i think, on youtube) just to see what happens because of the cliffhanger ending in 3.

Hope they stop there though... but not likely, I'm sure.

Again, welcome back. ;)

Pretty much the standard plot,a bunch of dumb, randy teens have a halloween party in an abandoned funeral parlour that legend has it is built on Evil grounds.Gratuitous female nudity, demonic possesion and much teen slaughtering ensues! The second one is basically more of the same, they're both brainless but they're both great fun too! There is a Night of the Demons III too,but I havn't seen it yet. :)

Not bad, it had some humor and some gore... I'd say a 6/10 maybe 6 and a half. Ending was pretty good.

Just watched A Better Tomorrow.

I found it freakin' hilarious. Pure survival mixed in with loads of humor, and then some.

Think I'll watch it again tonight.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Colon Movie Film for Theatres

I am a fan of the show, but trying to stretch a 12 minute show into an 86 minute movie is pushing it. It starts off very funny and then proceeds to become pretty much just like every episode. There's not really any plot and and the film tends to drag on. It's okay, but I'd recommend watching a couple 12 minute episodes instead. It'll be just as funny, but take up far less of your time.

Resident Evil 3

I like it a lot, it combined parts of many different movies, kept aspects of the videogames (introduced more really, thanks Claire for the cheesy dialogue from the game), and packed some good action into a movie that once again leads to yet another movie. I'd give it an 8/10 BUT, and this is a big but, I'm an RE fanboy. I'd probably say 6 or 6 and a half if I wasn't.
