Argento, a thousand times.

Blast! This is another hard choice.

Ive only seen one of Argento's films, Suspiria, and it blew me away. One of the greatest horror films Ive ever seen, and it spent quite a bit of time on the Honorable Mentions section of my signature.

On the other hand, Ive seen plenty of Craven's films and they are very hit and miss. Hills Have Eyes and Nightmare on Elm Street were incredible, but Chiller is one of the worst movie's Ive ever seen. Swamp Thing wasnt great either, Cursed was pretty dumb, but I did really like Scream. For the most part though, he's a hack.

I think just for the sheer masterprice of Suspiria I have to go with Argento. Craven made a couple of great movies, but none can live up to Suspiria.
