The Battle of Algiers

It's foreign, black and white and is socio-politically charged. For those of you not already turned off, it's a powerful demonstration of how and why terrorism works. Still incendiary, still potent, still valid.

Ocean's Thirteen (2007)

I thought it was a fucking riot. Miles ahead of 'Twelve', and packed with oodles and oodles of style. I would actually love to see this get a Best Editing nomination at the 2007 Oscars.

Die Hard 4 whatever

John Mc Clane is back and hasn't missed a beat. Completely over the top unbelievable action....but ain't that what we love about Die Hard movies.

The last part of it is kinda lost by backround noise.

Eh...it'll have to do, I suppose. I'm going to see this tomorrow night.

My last seen:

The Most Dangerous Game (1932)

The_Return 07-11-2007 07:51 AM

The Fantastic Four (1994)

This rarely seen Roger Corman production is an absolute riot...it's not exactly good, but it's incredibly entertaining. If you happen to stumble across a copy, it's worth checking out (good luck though, it's never been legally released)

Dante'sInferno 07-11-2007 08:12 AM

Village of the Damned (1960)

Horrifying. One of the creepiest flicks to emerge out of the 1960s.

Kane_Hodder 07-11-2007 11:24 AM

Incubus.
Low budget 80s film. Disappointing.

Janna122003 07-11-2007 11:28 AM

Hostel 2. The first girl that has been killed was so brutal.

My Life Without Me
I'm not going to lie. I cried 5 separate times during this movie, and it's rare that I even shed a tear. I'll go ahead and say it's the saddest movie I've seen. I'm not even sure if you could call it 'sadness'... just overwhelming emotion. The acting was brilliant, and the entire thing was put together so well. Ultra realism.

Don't feel bad........I cried like a baby when that fucker(Corey Feldman) killed Jason in Friday the 13th:The Final Chapter!:(

joshaube 07-11-2007 07:48 PM

Oh god. I hate Corey Feldman with such feeling... during that entire movie I just wanted to fucking bash that little twat's skull in. He just bothers me, plain and simple.

Sixteen Tongues

Crazy movie, might as well has been listed as horror porn. Should be on the disturbing movie list, when a guy ejaculates blood all over a woman you know you're watching... something.

The Clap (Gonorrhea)?A really bad kidney infection? :D

Film Crew: Hollywood After Dark

The MST3K guys take stabs at a bad movie as... pretty much themselves. If you like MST3K you'll probably like this, it can be VERY funny at times. Shuttlecocks... heh.

I think... it was worse than that heh. If you have Netflix it's on watch it now if you really want to see it. I don't know that I would suggest it but at least now you know it's there.

About time you watched Last House, roshiq.

I thought Dead Silence didnt live to its hype though. Could have been better, but over-hyped nonetheless.

.....to some extent I agree with you.

bwind22 07-12-2007 06:49 AM

I thought Dead Silence sucked some major ass.

Prince of Darkness

I'm not usually a big fan of devil/occult type horror but John Carpenter executed this film brilliantly.. Good acting, likable characters, decent low budget gore, interesting and unique plot, and an unexpected ending make this one worth checking out.

B+

Just for future knowledge, those movies all belong to the "modern horror" section, as none of them are technically classic (classic = pre-1970).

Satudaythe14th 07-12-2007 08:09 AM

1408 though i wasnt really a fan I thought somethings like the cancer scene were totally unnecessary.

I thought it was okay, not great. I was really hoping for more, since some people here loved it. I was actually hoping for somehting more along the lines of House on Haunted Hill, rather than the Shining.

kill bill v.1 and 2- 10/10 my #1 still.

second hand lions- 8/10

Casino Royale- 10/10 (don't care what you guys thought, it's my number 2 fave now)

Kane_Hodder 07-12-2007 10:35 AM

I thought Casino Royale was good, showing a new rugged side to Bond.
I saw Undead earlier this evening. Nice fun film.

Champion

Interesting look at Trejo but it wasn't really anything groundbreaking.

Also the always entertaining Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural.

Shadow 07-12-2007 12:52 PM
