THE RISE AND FALL OF ZIGGY STARDUST AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS-David Bowie (1972).
Certainly like all facets of "The Thin White Duke'"s career, but those early 70's albums with Mick Ronson on guitar are truly seminal, especially this one.

This is one of my favorite records of 2020. Again, makes me miss Elvis Christ cause I think he'd be way into it. Crazy weird black metal Captain Beefheart garage rock monstrosity.

HARD ATTACK-Dust (1972). Incredible band that had too small a label for proper promotion. Sort of a "Supergroup" with Gtr/Voc Richie Wise (who along with partner/producer/songwriter Kenny Kerner produced the first two KISS albums along with singles like "Brother Louie" by Stories and "Midnight Train to Georgia" by Gladys Night and The Pips), Kenny Aaronsen, who has played with a "Who's Who" of musicians and Drummer Mark Bell who later was inducted in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as Markie Ramone. ****1/2

A couple of Debut albums...

AEROSMITH-1973. So Good and Raw!

STARFIGHTERS-1982. Bought the album after hearing "Alley Cat Blues" on the radio back then; had a serious AC/DC vibe as Rhythm guitarist was Stevie Young, nephew to Angus and Malcolm and now plays in AC/DC.

STARZ-Starz (1976). Great debut from a band that really should have had more success-sound like an Aero/Cheap Trick hybrid. Long time favorite with "Detroit Girls", "Boys In Action", "She's Just a Fallen Angel" and the somewhat controversial pair of "Night Crawler" and "Pull The Plug" still rock my world.

HERE AND THERE-Elton John (1976). HAT doesn't seem to get any love , but I think it's a great document of Elton's career. "Here" is a command Performance for Princess Margaret with "Skyline Pigeon" and "Love Song" (Duet with composer Lesley Duncan) standing out. "There" is a Thanksgiving 1974 Madison Square Garden show where John Lennon turned up at the end. Simply fabulous with the powerful "Funeral For a Friend/Loves Lies Bleeding", "Your Song", "Take Me to the Pilot" and the John Lennon portion irresistible. He had a exemplary band at this time, especially Ax Man Davey Johnstone.

Kansas - Audio-Visions -- Been a long time since I listened to this. Very solid album, with a really diverse set of songs that actually work as an album. Some very free and loose compositions, mainly from Steve Walsh, make the album. Kerry Livgren still has some great songs on here, particularly Hold On, whereas some of his others are a little strict and serious, but still enjoyable compositions.

My favorite here, is one of Kansas' best songs, penned by Steve Walsh, that amazingly wasn't on the greatest hits, and so was saved from classic rock radio repeat-repeat-repeat hell: Got To Rock On:

LIVE AT LEEDS-The Who (1970) For my money THE best live album of all time, by anyone! So incredibly hard and primal. Realized Yesterday, it was the 51st anniversary of that show and still sounds amazing.
