The Fly(Remake)

Ok, so maybe my expectations were a little too high for this film, but come on, you have to agree with me that it was slow moving and nothing like the original. This wasn't so much a remake as much as a remix. It's nothing like the original, which to me, kind of ruined it. I loved the original version. This one, I believe I actually could have done without seeing.

6/10

azumi 2, 6/10. an adequate sequal. not as much action and not as well made. they probably could've condensed it and put it in the first movie.

Hostel Part II. 04/10

Its just like the original, with girls this time. And the gore isnt even decent in this one. Skip it, if you get the chance. Or if you have absolutely nothing else to do with your time, you may risk a watch.

You have been warned.

It sucks bad, man. Apart for some gore and plenty of nudity, (ala the original) it has nothing to offer.

Too bad...I thought Eli Roth held a lot of promise.

King of New York

I had only seen this in bits and pieces so it was about time I sat down & watched it from start to finish. It's bad ass. Christopher Walken is awesome in it, as is Laurence Fishbourne. David Caruso, Wesley Snipes and small parts for Chris Rock & Steve Buscemi make this a cast loaded with talent. Needless to say, the acting is excellent, the story is cool, the violence is abundant and the ending unhappy. I loved it.

White Noise: The Light

I didn't really care for this movie. Watch something else that's worth your time.

3/10

the_real_linda 06-13-2007 01:26 PM

yeah white noise the light was an utter let down.........actually it wasnt cause i had no expectations....... just dont bother watch serenity instead

Angra 06-13-2007 01:49 PM

"Premonition" 6/10

A movie much like "The butterfly effect" and "the jacket", but far from as good.

Sandra Buldog was terrefic though. Nice to see her in a serious role instead of her usual goofy/cute and pukable ones that has been her trademark for over a decade. Bravo.

The first I'd give a 6/10 to for effort and some disturbing images. This one was just dumb and boring.

Android Apocalypse- Why this was even in my Netflix queue, I have no fricking idea. Someone playing a bad, bad joke on me. I shut it off after 15 minutes.

Paranoia 1.0- um....... someone who has seen this, please tell me what it's about cause I just didn't 'get it'. The movie ends with his brain gone? WTF??
Unable to rate out of complete confusion.

About time. I m glad you finally got around to watching it, heh.:)

The Illusionist

Ed Norton's an excellent actor and he playde this part well. The story was pretty good, as was the pacing of the film. Nice twist to the ending. Giamatti did a good job too. Pretty entertaining magician flick. I'd place it right about on the same tier as The Prestige, which I also thought was pretty good.

Letters From Iwo Jima

A somber and often delicate (even amongst the explosions and carnage) musing on the horrors of war. A terrifying picture of dignity and honor in the face of certain death. I just wish the colors weren't so dialed-down - just like in the film's counter-part Flags of Our Fathers...I find it distancing, but that's probably just me.

Very good film, but not so much of a "good time"

8/10

Halloween 7: H20

Finally! Laurie Strode got some sense knocked into her! But yeah, now that that is out of the way, I have to say that this film is nothing like the other Halloween movies. If you like the series, give this a go, otherwise, don't bother. It's hit or miss with anyone.

Sweet Home Alabama - 7.5/10

pretty good for a chick flick.

VampiricClown 06-14-2007 07:44 PM

Halloween 8: Resurrection

Ok, I have officially seen all of the Halloween movies, and have been dissapointed with this final one. Not worth the watch at all really. The only thing I even liked it for, is the fact that Halloween is probably my favorite movie franchise. So just on that:

I dunno, we don't have a lot to work on and the teacher said it was on of her favourite movies, so we're watching it now, I don't really like it a lot.

Not trying to be an ass or anything, but I think The Eye is Chinese horror, not Japanese.
