I didn't think this movie was that bad really. I actually liked it. Not the best, but it was bizarre enough to watch a second time.

And I also enjoyed 2001 Maniacs.

The Mothman 05-26-2007 09:17 PM

28 Weeks Later

a damn good film. liked 28 days later better though.

not as much heroic badassness in this one. far more gore though.

I watched PotC: Dead Man's Chest tonight.

They are very well made and directed beautifully......too much art,not enough substance & dialogue for me.:)

Four of the Apocalypse 6/10

Brazil - The 143 Minute Director's Cut
After all the hype surrounding this, I was expecting something a bit better. It wasn't bad, but... not my kind of thing, maybe. Some surreal moments, and a truly unique vision of the future... but it's all been done better (to my tastes). Neutral, for me. I'm interested in seeing how the -50m version compares (the entire movie is put together different from a completely new story), but otherwise... won't watch it again.

I watched this as "Comedy" in my marathon with four others. They all said "This isn't comedy..." I wonder why it's tagged under comedy? It shouldn't be. One person really liked, one wanted to turn it off, and the other two felt neutral like myself. So...

- . . . + = Overall Neutral (.)

maybe i was hard on it cause its so dated. my litmus test is that if i start to nod off then its poor. the eye lids never lie. 2001 maniacs was just cheap and nasty in a bad way, like hoboken hollow.

The Boogeyman (1980)

Oh wow, I am so glad to be through with this horrid film. It took me over 3 months to finish watching because it's so boring. This movie is going to be one of the last ones I ever watch again.

1/10

Angra 05-27-2007 07:35 AM

"The messengers" 7/10

Pretty good Amityville kinda movie. Good acting as well, especially from lead actress Kristen Stewart.

But what the hell did "Cancerman" and his contract have to do with anything happening in this movie?? I didn't see the connection.

Apocalypto- 5/10
It was alright. Nice visuals. A pretty violent film for a bible thumping Jew hater.

Mel Gibson is still nuttier than squirrel shit!!!! :D

jenna26 05-27-2007 09:31 AM

Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest ~ getting ready for part three, which we will probably see next weekend.

Pan's Labyrinth ~ Absolutely amazing, I didn't think Del Toro would ever make anything that would top The Devil's Backbone in my eyes, but he sure did it here. Loved it; beautiful film.

BH14 05-27-2007 09:35 AM

Pan's Labyrinth........... I agree with pretty much everyone else review of this movie. I heard it was very good and I wasnt disappointed. I usually dont like these type of movies but the plot, visual effects, acting, etc were all very good. I give it a 8.5 out of 10.

Saw Bug last night. It’s not really the movie it’s marketed as being – a traditional horror film. It’s much more a psychological drama. Still, it’s very good and has some really creepy, tough to take moments. Worth seeing, I think.

Sick_As_Fuck 05-27-2007 08:58 PM

Waist Deep Awful. Only good part was Megan Good's fine ass.

The Butcher Terrible. Wasted 90 minutes of my life.

Lord of War I liked it. Did a solid job of opening our eyes to the whole gun running epidemic.

Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 Not sure what the overall horror community consensus of this movie is but I thought it was dope. Although, I enjoyed "The New Generation" as well :(

Laz 05-27-2007 09:23 PM

Maleviolence- Not a bad movie, reminded me alot of the old style slasher films like Halloween

Geddy 05-28-2007 03:02 AM

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

Shadow 05-28-2007 07:24 AM

Slither

This film stated that it was the best horror comedy to be released since Shaun of the dead. I do not agree with that statement, however the film was good. I enjoyed the silly plot and fun gore. Monster dude looked brilliant one of the ugliest things I have seen recently lol oh and a very very close second goes to the girl they find in the barn (I will not give anything away). lol

Amalthea_unicorn 05-28-2007 07:43 AM

Free Willy 9/10

"Harsh Times" 7/10

At first i didn't think Bale could pull this one off. Thought he started out sounding like a cross between a mexian east-coast gangster and Jay from "Jay & Silent Bob". But, as usual, he ended up owning the movie.

The movie itself wasn't particularly great. The story simply wasn't good enough to last almost 2 hours which made the time go quite slow during most of Harsh Times.

That being said, it's in a movie like this i would like to see Christian Bale and Edvard Norton together in.
