This movie is from anytime between 1960 - 1995, give or take. It was in danish television in the late 1990ies (as I remember, but it could be +- a few years). I am (almost) sure it was english or american.
I only saw the opening scene. It was at some attic/store room with a lot of items placed on shelves, and no people around. Among the items where a small cage kinda circus-like (a box with a barred door, size about 4x2x2 feet). The cage broke somehow (maybe it fell from a shell, or maybe the creature inside of it just crashed it). This creature was rather unscary looking, with a grey naked skinny body and a bold head. But extremely powerfull and angry. Also, the creature was semi-realistik, like it was animated (It probably was, but it was not made so due to low budget, it was intentionally). Of course, after the creature escaped the cage, it escaped the attic. I am pretty sure, that it was a real horror movie, and not just a parody. I really would like to see the rest of the movie. :) |

To V: No. Not as I recall. But which movie is that from?
It was more like a human body, with legs, arms, torso and head, walking uprised. And it was kind of misplaced - the creature was looking a little like it was a clay stop motion figure - placed in a realistic setup. And it did not really look scary (it didnt look sweet either, though) - the scary thing was just the angry attitude and the extreme power of the little beast. It teared things apart. (Not easy to explain, and a long time ago I saw a small bit of this movie, sorry :o) |

Search for Go-Kart chase ...
Hi!
I've got quite a hard one ... I've seen this in TV in the late 70s or early 80s as an excerpt (maybe it was a trailer). I don't know whether it was from a film or a series. There was a man (type "mad man") running by night behind a boy or a little man (maybe with a helmet), who was fleeing by racing in a go-kart (or a similiar little vehicle) ... It is NOT: "Silver Bullet" (the King-adaption), "Phantasm I" or "The Shining"! Any suggestions ..? Thanks in advance! |

NO, this didn't even exist, when I saw mine in TV in the 70s/80s ...

Hi, I'm looking for two movies from the mid 80s and the 90s, US-made.
The first movie is from the 90s (probably mid or late) and was about a family that moves into a haunted house. The house is very beautiful and stately with dark wood interiors and an ominous feel b/c it does not have much lighting. The House starts working on the wife first and she starts having small hallucinations about her husband cheating on her with the realtor. The first time is when she watches from a window as he walks the realtor out to her car and she imagines that they make out enthusiastically on the hood of the realtor's car. Then later she goes upstairs and thinks she sees them having sex in the study when actually he's just in there doing something benign like reading. [fastforwarding] There is a sort of random scene where an unintroduced naked brunette lady writhed on a big bed. The camera is the pov and it creeps up on her (she doesn't see it for a while because the top of her head is towards the door) until she does notice it and is quite shocked/terrified. The scene ends and goes back to the family. [fastforwarding] The last scene I remember was the family sitting down to dinner. By this time strain had developed b/t the wife and husband. I think the House has started working on the father as well because I'm fairly certain he is the one who looks up and sees a random old lady ghost staring at him. She was whited out and and had a sfx glow, a bit like Slimer or the library ghost, and was staring at him very insanely. Then the turkey exploded. I remember this because it was a very cheap effect - it was like they put a lot of fireworks in it - it went PFFT!! and turkey bits shot up in the air. I remember thinking that the actors' jumping a bit was not unfeigned. Some random details: I think they had more than one kid. Fairly sure the name of the movie had something to do with haunting or poltergeists, it might have had a colon. I saw the second movie in the early 90s, so it could be mid 80s to early 90s. It was on TV during the daytime. It was about a lot of terrified young people running around in a big house and getting picked off in creative ways. One lady had twine sewn in her stomach. It was like...the needle went in at her lower abdomen and was drawn out the middle. I think that was how she died? And another lady got trapped in a clock except there was a blade for a pendulum. The remaining (3 or so) survivors come upon her predicament but she tells them to run away. My friend is trying to help me find these and she came upon these links: http://www.best-horror-movies.com/ba...red-death.html http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0179334/reviews Some of the details, like the clock trap, match but there is only a copy of the Vincent Price version available on Amazon so it'll be difficult to check right away. Also, can anyone confirm if in The Eye (2002, Pang bros), was there a scene where the heroine goes to a restaurant to eat and sees a lady ghost holding a kid come in and start licking the peking ducks? The heroine overhears some regulars remarking that the owner seemed to be doing well and that his wife's suicide was such a shock. She throws down her chopsticks and runs out. Sorry for the length and thank you very much for your help! |

I need some help with a horror title. I'll try this thread first although it doesn't seem to be getting a lot of responses.
I think it's from a movie but I can't be sure. I've been watching the TV show "Lost Girl" for a while. Seeing how Bo (Lost Girl's main character) can drain the life force from a person with her succubus powers by kissing reminded me of a scene from an old horror show. It's all very vague since I probably watched it when I was too young in the 80s. The scene is the following (remember this is guesswork): A group of the usual young people (I think) are in a house of some sort. It's in the woods and probably haunted or something. I can't remember. At night, one of the guys decides to raid the refrigerator or go exploring in the house. There is a pretty girl in a see through gown that is in one of the rooms. I don't think it is one of the girls that came with the group. This should have been enough to get the guy running but no...He goes to makeout with the girl. Now here's where I'm not sure what happens next. It turns out that the girl is of course some kind of monster or witch. The guy is either enjoying the kiss and the girl starts to choke the guy. Or the guy backs up after the kiss and the girl's tongue wraps around the guy's throat choking him. I can't remember which. But I think it had something to do with her tongue. Any guesses or similar scenes from shows you guys remember will help. Thanks. |

For some reason, I'm thinking that the scene I'm looking for might be in one of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. I barely remember them at all. Probably because they scared me when I was young. I know it's not the first one but maybe a sequel? |

That's my problem with having seen so many movies...they all start blending together and turning into a blur unless I watch them once a year or something. |

Thanks for the clips guys. I think I have an idea for a new thread. I guess the scene I'm looking for isn't that original. Kind of like how the Friday the 13th Part 2 spear death was in another movie first. |

I was really, really into horror movies growing up. I actually kept a notebook listing all the horror movies I'd seen. There's a few thousand in there and if I look at it now, I would bet I wouldn't remember 75% of them. If I sit down and start watching a movie that I know I've seen before I'll usually go "oh yeah" I remember what basically happens, but I can't remember all the little details anymore. I know I've seen each movie in all the big franchise movies like F13, Nightmare, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw, etc literally 50-100 times each depending on the part, but I've only seen 1 or 2 films from any of those franchises in the last couple years and while I can remember the main ideas, I can't remember each death scene anymore. When I was 18 yeah...but now in my 30's...no...lol. I have the utmost respect for the guys and gals on this board who can remember specific details from a lot of old or obscure movies they've only seen once or twice, because I'm doing good to remember details from the ones I watched 50 times growing up let alone a movie I saw once or twice years ago. |
So glad you guys have a section dedicated to this sort of thing. I hate seeming like the newb in forums. Anyways this is the whole reason I joined the forum had this movie burned into my mind since childhood. Ok. I saw this movie on Cinemax when I was between two and four so bare with me. So that was what 87-89 I remember this dude falls and I think he gets possessed once he hits the concrete. It was some weird shit once he hit the concrete. His name is George not sure if thats how he spelled it but anyway. He starts acting weird. His friends say. And there were some odd scenes with him in a freezer. Like a meat freezer ya know with carcasses hanging up and what not. George. I would appreciate the heck out of it if one of the horror fanatics could help me out, cause I would love a rewatch with a mature mind to know whats really going on as you can tell from what I have described I dont really remember the movie at all.

When and if someone is able to tell me this movie they will get my mad props and appreciation. I have told this movie to many a people and most just give me the hmmm not ringin any bells.

Att: So High
Only one thing rings a bell:

Roger Mortis, not George Not possessed, but dead (asphyxiated) and returned to life. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Heat_(1988_film) |
Naw. Man I do appreciate you trying though bro. Ya know. Naw I wish I could give a better description though. George is for sure though. I wanna say he was wearing a green sweater throughout the movie kinda like one mr. rogers would wear. He had black rim glasses.( Kinda like the buddy holly ones that everyone seems to be wearing these days as a fashion statement as to say hey I'm cool. I'm hipster.) His hair was a comb over though throughout most of the movie its messed up. Yeah the freezer scene sticks out in my head cuz hes behaving extremely weird in there and a girl comes in yellin his name. I dont know maybe it coulda been a story like off something like tales from the crypt or creepshow. I know hbo did tales from the crypt though and Im almost positive it was on cinemax. I remember right before we started to watch it a movie with a bunch of werewolves had just went off. Like a bunch. Everyone had turned to werewolves. And like I say this was between 87-89. I don't know if that will help at all but yeah. Be alright.

Naw thats not the Werewolf movie that was on Before the movie I'm trying to figure out. I don't really remember much about the Werewolf movie except the ending. Werewolves everywhere and Killed the girl who was trying to escape in her vehicle at the end. With a bunch of werewolves. But yeah not concerned with the Werewolf movie though I do thank you for trying my friend. I knew this George horror movie would be hard. I been looking for it for years.
|
Put ole George on hold need some more assistance if you will. I believe its Omen 4 in my mind. Twisted lil girl smashes another kid with her lunch box. When dude goes to find out about where she came from a crazy nun is snake handlin or something I wanna say. Maybe she left the catholic church because of the kid I dont know. Am I wrong, right, mixing a couple a films together? Appreciate the help.

I'm not even sure i understand what the hell you're sayin?

So you found your movie? Great. |
Can somebody help me with a movie name?
I rented this movie back in year 2000, It was pretty old, color (non black and white), vhs...The thing is that I remember it was about some monsters coming out of a giant closet or something, the weird closet was open at midnight...So the monsters did all the scares and then after a long night of action, they went back to the alley where the "closet" look like door was... I was 12 years old so I fast forwarded the movie because it sucked (at east for me when I was 12), so my summary was: 1-monsters go out, 2-scare and kill people, 3-monsters return, 4-The end.... I'm looking for this movie because I want to watch it and see if my young mind was actually right about the movie and actually got the essential plot summary on fast forward. |
I'm thinking either The Gate or Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark.
|
I'm going to guess Little Monsters.
|
No, it wasn't any of those titles. But thanks now I want to watch "the gate":)
