Reefer Madness (2005)
Bloody hillarious! Not technically horror, though the ending sequences are splatter-gore similiar to certain scenes in Evil Dead.

Does it have anything to do with the original?

mordrid 03-21-2007 05:07 PM

Rabid (1977)

Saw it on video on demand and saw it was a David Cronenberg movie so quicked it out. Was very odd. Mindless zombies created by a sucking tube that comes from Marilyn Chamber's armpit. Was a very typical early Cronenberg movie. Needless to say, I enjoyed it.

It's a super-campy movie musical adaptation of the original. Alan Cumming & Anna Gasteyer star and it's fucking great - for a musical 7.5/10

I think Joyride is great! It's a must see in my opinion. Not many people talk about it but I think the plot and acting were great. You can't go wrong with a crazy truck driver chasing people.

Last movie I seen was "Undisputed 2" which is a great martial art movie. Awesome fight scenes. I give it a 9/10.

Mictlantechutli 03-21-2007 06:52 PM

Prince of Darkness

Can't believe I hadn't seen this before. Yeah it's flawed, but I loved it. 7/10

dude, I'm a retard for the first one. I thought it was a near perfect B Movie. Is the second one nearly as good?

crabapple 03-21-2007 07:52 PM

Prince of Darkness could be one of the scariest, most upsetting horror films I ever saw! I give it a 9 on the crabbymeter.

This is where the sequel is better than the first one. However, don't expect to see Vingh Rames and Wesley Snipes. If you like a kick @ss film with some sick fighting, then check this out. It's really up there with other martial art movies the past few years.

You've seen it before, though, right?

My super ex-girlfriend.
"Fun". A little predictable...but all good...some nice visual effects...funny enough.

Hot Fuzz-

Oh my what a great movie Wright,Pegg and Frost deliver the goods again.I love Shaun of the Dead but this raises the bar even further, its been a long time since any movie made me laugh as much as this did.
A witty script full of in jokes, great direction, standout comedic performances from the leads, quirky support characters and an absolute riot of a final act,it's just fantastic,wonderful,superb.......recommended.10/10

nice choices joshaube. You will love 300. Last movie I watched was Night at the Museum last night.

Just finished watching The Nun (2006).

Overall was half way decent. Though that isn't saying much considering I am sick and really nothing else interested me on Video on Demand. Basic plot, the spirit of a twisted nun comes back to kill her former bordering school pupils. It did have a nice twist at the end, one I didn't honestly expect. I say if you can watch it for free like I did, do so. Don't pay for it.

Finally finished the Saw trilogy today with part III. Good shit. Not sure how they're going to go on with a fourth, though.

The Matrix- 10/10

The Matrix Reloaded- 7/10

S.W.A.T- 6/10 (I changed my mind, it's pretty good)

Airplane!- 10/10

M (1931)

Easily one of the greatest films ever made. Advanced, daring, provocative, shocking...the film hold's its terrifying own today, and only improves with age and viewings.

bwind22 03-22-2007 10:48 PM

Poltergeist 3

Man, did this franchise hit the shitter in a hurry. The original was good, the sequel was bad and this third installment was downright awful! The plot was illogical, the script was bad, the acting sucked and there wasn't any gore. Talk about a stinker! But I guess I should have expected that since even Craig T. Nelson (Coach) wanted nothing to do with it. Don't waste your time on this one (or Poltergeist 2 for that matter.)
