last movie i saw at the theatre

the hitcher remake...they stuck pretty close to the original story but the original of course was waay better. more intense with an evil but we don't know why rutger hauer and the wide eyed innocent c thomas howell. a classic in my book. the remake was that...a remake....and it remains that hollywood is totally idea bankrupt!

Just as amazing as ever. This movie came out of NOWHERE, and completely blows me away everytime. Its just amazing, completely astounding.

dont like excessive violence?

not a movie that i would suggest.
bad script, bad characters and acting, Kane's background story sucks and isnt well explained. All in all it was your typical dumb hollywood horror movie.

but god damn. its brutal beyond belief.

It called "see no evil" for a reason. The dude tears out like 6 people's eyes in this movie with his long nasty fingernails:eek:

Die You Zombie Bastards

The director of this movie obviously has an obsession with penis's. its a fucking riot though, i reccomend it. some ultra fucked up parts

Third time seeing it, first time out of theaters. Just as fucking brilliant. What more could one ask for in a movie than this?

Cube 2: Hypercube

Not as cool as the original, but still a pretty cool movie. It seemed like they made the plot more complicated than they needed to though. The acting was good, the gore was somewhat of a let-down compared to the original. The plot was very similar to the original. The ending was cool though.

Deuce Bigelow: European Gigolo

Less funny than the first one (which isn't saying that much because the first one was only average to begin with), but it still has it's moments. Like all the SNL alum films, there's plenty of good cameos but the plot was pretty basic. It's okay, but nothing spectacular.

#2 best ever horror. Favorite parts are still the ventilation scene (ooh scary), and the last 20 or so minutes with the running camera and the suspense.

The ventilation....If not for that one, piss your pants scare scene, I wouldn't have liked this movie.

The Prestige 8/10

Elegant filmmaking and storytelling. Wonderful acting, costuming, sets, and themes. Christopher Nolan has not yet made a misstep as a director.

Horror_Writer 02-25-2007 09:27 AM

Just watched the remake of The Omen the other day. I thougth it was very well-done. I wasn't expecting it to follow the original as closely as it did and was pleasantly surprised. The effects were outstanding and quite disturbing actually, especially the decapitation scene--made all the more so because you knew all along it was coming, saw it beginning to happen . . . ewwww!

I wasn't too big of a fan of Following, but the rest of his stuff has been excellent.

That's what I was saying. The first one had a good amount, the 2nd was a letdown in that department.

I personally found this film to be quite boring. Maybe it's just my hatred for posession type films.

Last night I saw the entire Sergio Leones "Dollars" trilogy.

"A Fistful Of Dollars"
"For A Few Dollars More"
"The Good The Bad and The Ugly"

What a great night.

The Howling

5/10

This... wasn't that great... Not the best werewolf ever like the box says. It wasn't that great at all.

I enjoyed 2 scenes. The cabin where she wounded it and the car attack, that was basically it.

"Proof" (2005) 6/10

The acting was much, much better than the story. Simply a terrific cast.

And once again Anthony Hopkins overshadows all others with a flawless performance, that makes acting seem as easy and natural to him as breathing.

For some weird reason i always forget that man when we're talking best/top 10 actors in here. That's not fucking fair!!!

Liked the ending better than the one in "Infernal affairs". Wasn't quite as dark, even though i would have prefered an even "happier" ending..

But except for that little detail it was good.

Mad Doctor of Blood Island

Well its really bizzare and just as cheesy as it sounds, but its actually alot of fun. Wouldnt rush out and buy it, but it was worth watching for sure.
