Love the bleak ending to "Halloween 4". The series should have ended there.

Ferrara directed 2 "Vice" episodes, the other was "Dutch Oven" in season 2.

BH14 03-07-2005 11:59 PM

best part in halloween 4 is the ending... I was like "Hell yea".. and then the guy was like "No No No No!!!".

I was dissapointed too...but it was better on second viewing....but last 10 minutes still suck....

"Coffee and Cigaretts" ....boring dialog movie...quasi absurd...

August Underground.

At last, a fake "snuff" outside of Devil's Experiment that is actually convincing.

Love that nipple/cock removal ("Pfft! Where's his dick??") -

Hats off, lads!

ShankS 03-08-2005 09:47 AM

Predator 2 SE R1.

42ndStreetFreak 03-08-2005 12:35 PM

Andy Milligan's "Monstrosity"

ShankS 03-08-2005 03:20 PM

Phone.

I don't think I was in the right frame of mind when I watched this, maybe watch it again sometime soon. It just didn't come across as a well scripted film...too jumbled up and artsy, and trying to be something it wasn't. Maybe I've seen too many good jap ones before this and was expecting too much from it.

been wanting to see this for ages now, just can't find it anywhere on-line, I've tried searching for it on a few iso sites aswell.

just watched the pianist i didnt really like it because, like alot of war movies, it seemed like a 90 minute story made into an "epic" 2.5 hour movie.

it wasnt a good film ...
Korean, not Japanese ...

It wasn't anywhere near as clever as the Japanese films it tried to emulate

excelsior 03-09-2005 03:41 AM

last film I watched was Guinea Pig 2: Flower of Flesh and Blood, last night. It was the inaugural test screening of the new and improved film society I just took over.

the film was OK. I'd had it for a couple of years, but was too much of a scaredy-cat to watch it until... well it just felt right... the sound fx and the wacky lighting and camera angles rather detracted from the solid groundwork established in the stalking and abduction sequences, I felt... and it only really made me feel sick when the maggots and worms started squirming around all over the place

movieman64 03-09-2005 05:09 AM

Witch House last night, and I'm planning on Voodo Academy today.

If you like B/low budget pics, like from Full Moon Pictures it's pretty good. There are 2 sequals, but I have yet to see them.

slasherman 03-09-2005 07:00 AM

Anybody who have seen "Madman"..it looks like a cool slasher...is it ?

I like "Madman". It has it's faults but the positives outnumber the negatives and the 'AB' DVD transfer looks very nice indeed.

I just looked on Netflix - they have Witchouse, but not Witch House. Is it the first title? If it is they have all 3 of them.

lol that line of mine was a humorous understatement.... it's the dry Uk humor.

:)

Just watched Face, another asian flick, not bad, but not realy for scare seekers, stick to some of the other well known asian horrors.

The_Return 03-09-2005 07:57 PM

Watched a few since I last posted...

Invisible Ghost- Like most movies Ive seen latly...enjoyable, but nothing spectacular.

The Frighteners- Seen it alot....but damn thats a great movie. Dahmers is the best part.

The Killer Shrews- What can I say....I guess you can pretty much judge by the title on this one...pure cheese, terrible acting...but pretty enjoyable...

slasherman 03-10-2005 08:50 AM

"PvsA"..with commentary..liked the second commentary better with those effects guys :)

ShankS 03-10-2005 01:42 PM

Zombi 2 25thSE

"A chinese ghost story"

Damn, what a stupid movie.

The acting was theatrical and bad. The horror was nonexisting. The martial art scenes were sword fighting scenes (No fists or kicks). Oh, and of course the fighters could jump 50 feets in the air. God, i hate that. The effects were fairly good at times but mostly pretty lousy, like the skelletons. And the story was just plain crappy.

Somewhere iīve read that it should be visually beautiful. Well, you could easily see that it wasnīt a B-movie, but when i think visually beautiful i think "Hero" and it didnīt reach that one to its shoelaces.

WHO THE FUCK RECOMMENDED THIS STINKER? Grrrrrrrrrr!!!!

I fucking recommend it!! One of the finest HK films ever made and still a masterpiece of Horror/Fantasy/Romance and Swordplay. Hk Nu-Wave had arrived and it was a breath of fresh air.
Great days.

Shocking!

Respectful thoughts that make far more sense...http://www.beardyfreak.com/rvchineseghost.htm
