I liked it. The idea more than the movie itself.

Hope sequals are being made.

Isnīt there an awful lot of sex in these Masters of horror short-movies?

Try it with the kid, Urge. It's a little risque, but most of the jokes would probably go over his head, and he'd enjoy the variety of fun characters, expecially Woody Harrelson's.

It was certainly a fun movie, watched it with my mom. Kind of sad that Altman's final film was on the subject of the tranquility of death...

I thought that movie was decent for being a new horror movie, using a somewhat too common of plot line. I liked when they thought that one guy was dead but he was just toking a bong.

I just got done watching John Carpenters: Vampires last night (and no not the one with Bon Jovi)

James Woods is an excellent actor i think. In fact i have a question for the board that i will post in the Horror.com general forum.

I still have the first Phantasm and Day of the Dead to watch after the Super Bowl so it should be a relatively fun day.

I just hope i get drunk.

I liked the game universe the most.

This is actually one of VERY few movies i would like to see made into a console game. :)

i herd something along those lines - which wasnt what i expected

Yeah, there was this chilling kind of angel story behind the whole thing, almost in a It's A Wonderful Life kind of way. She obviously represents death, but acts as a kind of opposite to the grim reaper. She comes bearing peaceful death; some can see her, some cannot.

The way it's presented is quite beautiful.

It was fun while it lasted, but it was a pretty bad movie, all things considered. I hated Cronenberg.

I love Nightbreed - Cronenberg was the best part!

alkytrio666 02-04-2007 02:56 PM

Haha, I knew you'd be on this fast.

I don't know...like I said, it was fun to watch, but I guess reading the book first made a lot of the movie seem so degrating. And Barker completely butchered his own ending, that was my biggest beef.

I didn't hate it...just thought it could be a lot, lot better.

The Butcher

Well, I wasn't really expecting anything from this since I had never heard a word about it so I wouldn't say I was really let down, but I certainly wouldn't say I was impressed either. This was basically a hack job movie borrowing elements of Texas Chainsaw, Wrong Turn and People Under the Stairs. Knowing nothing about it, my expectations were very low and I did end up being somewhat entertained by it, but it just wasn't anything original at all.

Not as good as the original, but still really entertaining. Good characters, a decent plot, and "Little Kong" was a riot - fun movie all around:)

Did you like it? I though this was really cool when it came out. It was my introduction to the Halloween series.

I turned it off about a quarter of the way through because I was busy but from what I saw I wasn't impressed. The reaction to the girl dying in the beginning was so bad I didn't even bother resuming it.

Last one for me was Real Men.

"MOH - The fair-haired child" 7-8/10

Except for the little long drawn hide and seek in the, rather small, basement, TFHC was quite good. The best Masters of Horror iīve seen so far, together with "Imprint".

But why the hell didnīt the girl just climb up/out through the big hole in the wall in the basement???

Saw 3. Still prefer the first one.

Plenty of blood and guts and some good torture ideas. I wonder what they'll come up with for the next instalment.
