The remake of Thirteen Ghosts.

As Ive mentioned [Alot], House on Haunted Hill[1999] is one of my favourite movies. So, needless to say, hopes were high for this. I thought it was fairly enjoyable, but HoHH is far superior. Quite odd after seeing Amadeus last week...F. Murray Abraham was spectacular in that, and it seems odd seeing him in such a....different[For lack of a better word] film.

Cube and I'm halfway thru Cube 2 (I keep falling asleep)

AUSTIN316426808 03-07-2005 04:15 AM

TNT had a Eastwood night(or whatever you wanna call it) and I saw Blood Work and True Crime for the first time then Play Misty
For Me and In The Line of Fire.

I think Blood Work had a really good, well thought out story and of course I think Clint was did a good acting/directing/producing job, the rest of the acting was ok as well.[***Spoiler**** I can't believe I actually saw a movie with Jeff Daniels as the killer.***End Spoiler***]

Clint also did a good job with True Crime another really good story, James Woods and Denis Leary did well along side Eastwood.

In The Line of Fire was a good cat and mouse game between Eastwood and Malkovich, no big twist or anything mostly just the good guy and the bad guy going at each other.

By the time Play Misty For Me came on(2 A.M.) I couldn't get through the whole thing but I've seen it before so no big deal, pretty good acting by Eastwood and Jessica Walter but everybody else was sub-par overall it's a good thriller.

I watched Cube Zero, or Cube 3. It has both titles on the cover, and is supposed to be the beginning explaining some of the reasons behind its existence. Which I felt it did a pretty good job doing.

I saw The Bone Collector and Virtuosity last night. Had a Denzel night.

Nothin' wrong with that! LOVE Denzel!

I watched Chocolat this weekend. I know, it's not horror, but it was really good. Also watched Around the World in 80 Days with Jackie Chan. Didn't like it at all. Didn't even watch the whole thing.

I don't know why people say ''I know it's not horror'' it doesn't matter, the thread title is ''Last seen movie'' not ''Last seen horror movie'' this is just a educated guess but I'd say that a majority of the movies posted in here aren't horror.

I know, but there are some purists on this site that would object to mentioning a movie that's not horror. Forgot to mention I also watched the 1st of 3 discs of Night Gallery. Loved it! I remembered all 3 shows that were on the disc. It was great watching it again. Looking forward to getting the next 2.

Sorry, urge, rented it on Netflix. They also have Nightstalker, but just the pilot movie, not the series. I'm sure eventually they'll get it.

They also have the Legacy Collections of Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man. Can't wait to see those!

Watched Returner again tonight...Great effects, cool soundtrack, and a slightly borrowed storyline, but stands up on it's own as a pretty good film...
Reccomended.

I saw Martin Scorseazies (spelled that wrong TO THE MAX) Binging out the Dead. I was wanting to see this movie for the longest time now. I think he was trying to make another Taxi Driver except with paramedics (seriously it was like the same movie). It wasnt too terrible, but it didnt hold my attention either (I fell alseep). Im giving it 3 out of 5.

this one I think is on the same level...if you look at for example "One Missed Call" which is japanese..its not ecspecially good...Maybe even those south koreans are producing more quality than the japanese ....but thats a mather of taste....

zwoti 03-07-2005 12:33 PM

it lives again

hellfire1 03-07-2005 12:50 PM

ringu 2. found it ended up making no sense whatsoever and leaving a lot of loose ends in the end. was quite disappointed. so i watched audition afterwards... awesome movie.

oh and i could not for the life of me, get through undead... ugh...

Vodstok 03-07-2005 12:53 PM

Audition was great. I have a beagle, so i hated what happened to the dog...

But the foot part just kills me.... I never laughed so hard at something so awful before.

hellfire1 03-07-2005 01:10 PM

***SPOILERS AHEAD***

*dog walks into frame*

me : "that bitch had better not touch that dog !"

i was sooo pissed. lol as soon as there's an animal in a horror movie, you can always expect the worse. ( and i saw the pics. so cute )

the foot part is morbidly excellent. love how when she's done sawing it off, she kind of shrugs happily and tosses it.... makes annie wilkes look like a teletubby.

just wondering but are you still not giving the movie a chance in hell? if not what do you think they'd have to do to make it work or is it impossible to duplitcate.

42ndStreetFreak 03-07-2005 03:02 PM

Not sure....I mean you can't make another "Miami Vice" as it's so much a product of it's time.
The only way to do that would to go the mostly comic "Starsky and Hutch" movie route.

OR, you make a general, serious modern thriller and simply call it "Miami Vice" for the hell of it.

AUSTIN316426808 03-07-2005 03:06 PM

I get what you're saying, the cars, clothes ect. it is kinda stuck in the 80's.

You should see Ringu 0 then. It explains how it all started and it has a lot creepier ending than Ringu 2.;)

Just saw AVP... Not as good as either Alien or Predator, but I was entertained by the cool fight scenes and action... Good to see them use mechanical robots and costumes over CGI too because it made it look better.... 7/10

One of the best "Vs" movies around. haha

BH14 03-07-2005 07:48 PM

it was either 6 or a 7... I didnt care for the plot either, the characters, but it was the special effects and nice fight scenes that were done very good. I lost a little respect for the predator as well comparing him from part 1. It's a "Vs" movie which means you cant really expect a nice plot.

I'll have to check this one out, even tho I didn't really get into Cube 2 that much but maybe this one will fill in some of the blanks.

BH14 03-07-2005 11:09 PM

Just watched Halloween 4.... This is definetly one of the best sequels around period.... Great story, good characters, nice murders and great ending. This is better than Halloween 2 in my opinion. Only 1 is better. "Cops do it by the book" ... what the hell does that shirt mean? whore

PS... The only thing that bothered me in this movie is that he finger gouged like 3 or 4 people to death. Done a little too much and could have been a little more original. This is where Friday the 13th has an advantage over Halloween.

Elvis_Christ 03-07-2005 11:24 PM

Halloween 4 is cool but 2 fucking owns it I think I almost like it better than the original.
