The Company Of Wolves. I love this movie. A lot of people say it's too confusing, but it's not at all if you pay attention to what's going on. It's also metaphor heavy, so morons might find it a little difficult to get.

the second time i liked it a lot more ... looks like Depp is being groomed as a spin off character .. the blind gunman ..

I think watching the trilogy together made it better for me. It was ok for me the first time but on second viewing, I liked it much better.

It definitely felt like Rodriguez was setting up a spinoff for Depp's character.

Clay Pigeons

I guess I was expecting better, but it was pretty good. Great cast.

The Unholy.
It kind of sucked. The demon was the crappiest pile of latex and paper mache I've seen in years.

No, I think Titanic (1997) is a great film.

Subject 2

It was pretty good. The twist at the end was a little predictable. Not TOO obvious though.

Can't wait to see that, hopefully it's as good a remake as people say it is.

True Lies

Silly, mindless action but I love this one.

The_Return 01-28-2007 08:34 AM

Having a couple friends in for a "movie night" tonight, havent had one in awhile. Pretty good line up:

Dead-Alive
Bruiser
House of 1000 Corpses
Devil's Rejects

I've been putting off watching Dead-Alive until I could watch it with friends, so this will be my first viewing:D.

Considering you're the first person that Ive heared say anything but praise for it, and that I usually dont agree with your opinions anyway, Im not worried:)

Despare 01-28-2007 09:54 AM

Crimewave.

alkytrio666 01-28-2007 10:30 AM

Haha. I don't particularly enjoy the movie, actually, but my mom was watching it with my little sister. I was ripping some CDs onto my iPod and told myself I'd watch 10 minutes of the damned thing. Stayed the whole 3 hours, it jerked a few tears, etc.

SamCostello 01-28-2007 11:09 AM

Last night, I watched The Descent, which was deeply, deeply awesome. I'm going to watch the director's commentary tonight.

Earlier in the week I saw Werner Herzog's Grizzly Man which was very good and very sad. If you dig documentaries, it's absolutely worth seeing.

Pan's Labyrinth; as amazing as I hoped it to be. :)

Saw 3

Well, I didn't know what I was expecting with this one. I was never a huge fan of the original, but I've always thought the sequel was pretty good so I didn't know what I'd be getting in this 3rd installment. What I got was lots of gore, some really excellent continuity and what seemed like it will most likely be closure to the franchise. This was a pretty entertaining film (assuming you've seen the first two) and I think it wrapped up the trilogy better than I would have ever imagined them being able to do.
