Cocoon - although i dont hate ron howard as much as elvis christ - i still dont like him. that being said - cocoon is an almost perfect movie. the problem with howard is that he's been making the same movie over and over since.

Bon Cop, Bad Cop - probably the most accomplished canadian film i've ever seen. it has a couple of holes but it can contend internationally as far as how well it was made and acted. One of the best variations on the 'missmatched cop-buddy films' i've seen. It could have gone a bit further - but i really liked it.
finally we have a director willing to take us out of the dark ages of cinema.

bizzare movie. the direction and acting was rather poor, however the story was cool and unfolded nicely, and the monster looked freakin' awesome, plus it had some damn cool scenes. not what i expected from the director of The Blair Witch Project, but it was still very enjoyable

Hell yeah! For once, an action film that delivers everything it promises & then some! This movie kicked ass right from the start & never slowed down. Excellent action movie. One of the best I've seen in years. Great plot. Cool story. Good acting. Plenty of violence & a fresh feel when it comes to directing. All around, great! Highly recommended!

texas chain saw 2 until it got to the subtextey bit where he gets all gooey over that radio woman and falls in love then my mum said it was too much for my sister to watch and we went and watched some wrestling instead
