seriously, you're retarded, right? That's your idea of a PERFECT film? I've seen it. It's cute, but come on.

urgeok 01-12-2007 04:17 PM

other than the william shatner possum i couldnt stand it

The_Return 01-12-2007 06:04 PM

I'd probably give Over the Hedge an 8...alot better than most childrens crap lately, I enjoyed it.

The_Return 01-12-2007 06:13 PM

Boo

Well, it didnt really get bad until it started trying to explain stuff. I didnt really mind the first hour or so, just your typical haunted asylum flick...kinda stupid, but not really awful. Once it started trying to explain stuff though....ouch. The whole deal with Jacob was so full of clichés and plot holes it was sickening. The actor playing him wanted to be Robert Englund so bad you could almost taste it.

Flayed, I dont think I hated it quite as much as you did - but I can sure understand why you loath it so much.

Sick_As_Fuck 01-12-2007 06:19 PM

Finally saw one of my most wanted, "Seven". Not nearly as disturbing as I always thought it was, but a good film nonetheless.

not scary, but engrossing as hell. The mood, the pacing, the acting, the sound design, the gore...it all sucks you in. I enjoy this film more every time I see it.

Yeah, for some reason I thought it was more of a horror film than anything else. Silly me.

One of the very few movies which get a perfect-10 from me. From the grotesque beginning, to the retiring cop-new cop skirmish, and the climax...evoking loathe, horror, sympathy, empathy, extreme surprise...all in one go. Not to forget John Doe, the killer, who is never shown actually killing anyone throughout the entire movie. One of the modern masterpieces which should go down as an all-time classic.

The Host----7.5/10

The creature CGI was excellent and the story was pretty good as well. There were a few odd sections that threatened to bog the movie down, but it kept my attention all the way.

we need MORE monster movies.

crabapple 01-12-2007 09:21 PM

Ginger Snaps. Pretty creepy!

urgeok 01-12-2007 09:52 PM

The Mummy - (recent version)

still sucks

alkytrio666 01-12-2007 11:18 PM

Little Miss Sunshine (2006)

A lot of fun.

Angra 01-13-2007 01:47 AM

"Don´t be afraid of the dark" 1973

Yikes.

I wonder if this laughable movie was actually scary when it came out in the 70s.

zwoti 01-13-2007 06:25 AM

the thomas crown affair

Angra 01-13-2007 06:31 AM

"The bone snatcher"

Decent.

BASSI 01-13-2007 07:48 AM

i saw Scream 2 last night

The_Return 01-13-2007 08:30 AM

Dr. Chopper

Well I wouldnt go and recomend this one per se, but it really wasnt as bad as you'd think. It has all the trappings of your typical Zero-budget slasher craptacular (Bad acting / not much gore/ Clichés aplenty), but it was actually kinda fun in places. Considering I got the DVD in a Two-For-$3 sale with another fairly decent flick (Epoch), it could have been a heck of alot worse.

Amalthea_unicorn 01-13-2007 08:38 AM

:D I want a Persian cat, Roderick!

alicefan 01-13-2007 09:09 AM

Technically Halloween isn't a classic, and you should put it under the Modern Horror Movies Last Seen thread.

_____V_____ 01-13-2007 09:53 AM

The Fast and the Furious. 07/10

Easy to see why Vin Diesel fast became a crowd favorite after this one. Adrenalin pumping super speed races, excellent cinematography, and a yarn which works. High voltage 100 mins of sheer entertainment. Recommended for all speed demons out there who (still?!) havent seen it.

Toolbox Murders

6.5/10

pretty much what i expected. nothing brilliant but overall entertainment factor was pretty high considering acting was a lil shaky. kept me interested the whole time.

obsessedwhorror 01-13-2007 04:26 PM

Halloween 25 Years Later.

very interesting documentary.

The_Return 01-13-2007 06:22 PM

The Body Snatcher

Possibly my favourite Lewton flick yet...right up there with Cat People. Gray has to be one of the coolest villains that Ive ever seen, great performance from Karloff.

Despare 01-13-2007 08:18 PM

Grosse Point Blank

Great movie, not only that but it takes place here in MI woohoo.
