in honor of Vod :

Dungeons and Dragons ... i thought my kid might like it.
(he did except for the violence)

it is a truely abysmal movie. Irons was awful. just awful.

Donnie Brasco (1997)

There are a ton of mob movies out there, but only a handful are great films.
Donnie Brasco is one of those great films.

A mesmerizing, heartbreaking picture.

Unforgiven.
Great music, decent storyline, all the parts nicely played.
Not really my kind of movie, but at least I can say I've seen it now.
Good for what it was.

Deathdream - I enjoyed this one. Kinda slow at times, but it gets bonus points for being Savini's first. Special features had Savini: The Early Years. 6.5/10

Infernal Affairs - First time to see it...Wow. In my opinion, this movie was fantastic. I haven't seen The Departed yet, but I can't wait. 9/10

I've been meaning to check that out again since I watched The Proposition. Seen that yet dude? It would've been pimped to fuck over there no doubt. Amazing flick.

Last watched: Gore Gore Girls... which had one really fucked up scene in it haha. But I didn't dig it as much as his other films.

Phalanx 01-05-2007 08:07 PM

No, haven't seen it...heard nothing but good things though, might hire it at some point. No great hurry with the westerns, seems if they're any good at all, they'll be just as good a few years down the line.
I remember liking "tombstone", "posse" "the good the bad the ugly", and something about a preist...but still westerns are one of those things I rarely check out.
"Blueberry" is one I'd definately reccomend though...

I think it's also called "renegade" in some places. Very surreal, very cool.

It's something else. I've seen it twice now, once the original and the second (most recent) was the MST3K cut. Funny stuff. As a straight up horror film it's not much; WAY too many song and dance numbers. As a bad B movie though, it's great. Strange and silly, it's one you've got to see.

Candyman (1992)

I like this movie quite a bit. It's a solidly original story, and damn creepy.

ha i just watched this a couple nights ago, it had been sitting around for ages. I like it when the tenderized meat gets the salt and pepper treatment. that and the dude who just sits around and growls while smashing melons.

PS lemme know how aftermath was, i have yet to see it.

Well, not really...but good execution of an old idea with a "new" name.
Good series of films though, haven't yet seen the third.

Yeah, that was a good one.
