I've been meaning to watch the Naked Gun flicks again.

Last watched: The Street Fighter (not the Van Damme one :D )

I have that, but havent watched it in ages...liked it at the time, should probably give it another go.

Talledega nights. Pretty funny i guess, tho definetly a low point as far as will ferrells flix go IMO. did laugh pretty hard at a few parts. prolly give it like a 6.5 out of 10.

Little Miss Sunshine. Nice dry humour, my favorite kind, great charachters. I think i had it built up a bit too much in my mind cause I still felt a little empty at the end even tho i enjoyed it, id prolly give it an 8 out of 10. I was kinda hoping for a tannenbaums or a zissou i think. Carrell and the grampa were fucking great tho.

Vodstok 01-01-2007 08:11 PM

Bladerunner. I repeat, i love anything by ridley scott.

Elvis_Christ 01-01-2007 08:14 PM

Even Gladiator? :)

alkytrio666 01-01-2007 10:32 PM

We Are Marshall (2006)

I don't know what was more hollow: The plot or the acting. McG took what could have been a very inspirational true story and made it just another football movie cliche. Several horrible performances, including McConaughey's, make the characters completely unconvincing.

The descent- even though one of my pussy friends watching it with me kept freaking out, and wanting to turn off the movie it was still Incredibly enjoyable, best horror movie I've seen in a while

House of the Dead II. 01/10

Stopped it after watching for 25-30 mins because I was falling asleep. Whoever made this shitstorm movie needs to be shot. And whoever like this movie need to get their brains checked. And I thought only Uwe Boll made craptastic ones...

Clive Barker's The Plague. 04/10

Curiously familiar to Children of the Damned, but I got one question...WTF was going on?! whew...thats better. The premise started off so promisingly, but the rest went downhill as fast as a Ferrari in top speed. No explanation whatsoever about why it all began or happened, just a no-brain 85 minutes of long drawn out shoddy sequences and TONZ of blank stares. Maybe Clive Barker wrote this one when he was sleep-walking, or maybe having a literary session with Renob.

It was better than the first one.

Just finishing up The Wild Bunch now.

You know that it's really a documentary, right? About "From Dusk Til Dawn". I like it, but then I pretty much like anything Tarantino and Clooney do.

Miss Olivia 01-02-2007 12:23 PM

Near Dark.
Bill Paxton rocks.

Yeah, that's why I've been putting it off. I liked From Dusk Til Dawn, but I don't know if I need a 2 hour doc about it. I'll most likely check it out, though.

i saw the beginning. The beginning was pretty cool. Clooney and Tarantino walking down a hallway, fans asking for their autographs and them saying "Fuck off motherfucker!" (or something in that nature) i think one of them hit one of the fans, im not sure lol. It was all acted out, but it was pretty funny. the rest was documentary, so i kinda stopped there.

One of my favs. First movie I ever saw Vin Diesel in.

didnt care for chronicles of riddick though .. they aimed a little too high on that one - tried to make it an epic when it was just a sequel to a fun little action flick.

Haven't seen it. I'm seriously behind on my movie-watching because of school. I try to get caught up on the weekends, but it doesn't always work out that way.

I liked it, but playing the XBox game actually increased my enjoyment of the movie. I dig the universe they created although Pitch Black is still the best part of the series.

I finally broke out my 3 Extremes DVD;

Dumplings (Fruit Chan) - short version.
Never heard of the director before, but I'll definately have to check more of his films out. Unlike most of the asian cinema I've seen, with it's dark scenery and washed out look, the film used here is very sharp and vibrant in colour. It looks stunning. I wouldn't classify this as horror, but it is very, very eerie and creepy. The story was unique, and the effects were very well done. I was confused by a bit of it though...

SPOILERS
...who was the girl and man in the murder/attack scene?
So in the end, she aborted the baby and brought it to Aunt Mei to have more dumplings made? Fucked up!

I plan on watching the feature-length version later on.

Field of Dreams (1989)

This one's a family favorite. I've seen it many, many times and it still jerks tears. A truly awesome, powerful film.

Night at the Museum
cute, entertaining, not bad at all - just nothing great

However I LOVED seeing Dick Van Dyke dancing again (end credits - but I'm still impressed) so I'll say 7/10

Take the kids, they'll love it.

Posher778 01-02-2007 04:50 PM

Slither

7/10 Nothing special, wasn't horrible.

2001 Maniacs

Wow, I don't care whose in it, how cool the kills were, or how hott the sluts were, this was shit.

2/10

The Mothman 01-02-2007 04:54 PM

Apocolypto

wow, what a violent movie.

very far-fetched here and there, however solid film, with historically acurrate pieces here and there.

No shit! I swear, that man is made of rubber.

I was lucky enough to get Season 2 of the Dick Van Dyke show for Christmas. One of the greatest physical comedians ever, he never ceases to entertain.
