Tough call between John Candy and Mel Brooks for me. I would probably vote Mel Brooks but since it's looking like a battle between John Candy and Charlie Chaplin I'll vote for John Candy.
|
Seriously? You people think John Candy is funnier than someone who is still making people laugh after NINETY YEARS???
Don't get me wrong- I'm a John Candy fan... but we're talking about CHAPLIN. Crimenitly! |
It would be weird if he lost to John Candy but that won't happen. Charlie Chaplin will definitely win this, I just like making it interesting.
|
Charlie Chaplin
there... is that enough to dismiss this insanity? |
John Candy - 5
Charlie Chaplin - 4 Mel Brooks - 2 More votes needed... |

i find John Candy funnier ...and i'm old enough and experienced enough to have a mind of my own based on what i've seen before. as far as this tournament being rediculous - well they are all rediculous ... people voting against each other on what they like and people getting insensed when it doesnt go their way makes no sense. i think Norm Macdonald is the funniest guy of all time .. everything he does makes me laugh - harder than anyone - ANTONE else is able to do - for what must obviously be very personal reasons - to me. what anyone else thinks about that doesnt mean shit to me other than to have a nice little conversation about it. also for the record .. this should have been split between movie comedians and stand up comedians to be fair. we've been comparing apples and oranges. |
It would have been easier for me, yes.
But the reason why I didnt split them was because there are so many cross-over examples that it wouldnt have been fair to movie comedians to have been grouped under stand-up (because of their early years) and getting knocked out early, and neither for the stand-up guys who moved into movie business. Hence I mixed them all under one roof, feeling confident that a stand-up guy would win this in the end. Gotta admit, all the 27 who have progressed into Round 3 are amazing talents and all are good enough to win this. 6-5-2, Charlie Chaplin finally scores the very tough win over John Candy. |
