Project Metalbeast 1995

Unbeknownst to the scientists experimenting on it, a frozen cadaver had the ability to shape-shift into a werewolf.

My daughter loved HB...at about that time, We had a cat (Sealpoint Himilayan) that looked exactly like Sassy.

AILEEN WOURNOS: THE SELLING OF A SERIAL KILLER (1993). Uneven in parts, but decent Doc on "America's First Female Serial Killer" as the media named her (Not true) with Court footage and interviews. While it focuses on her crimes, it seems there's more reveal of what the DVD jacket describes as "Conniving Opportunists" out to make a buck out of Media presentation from her story. The worst of the bunch is Aileen's "Adoptive" Mother and the Lawyer assigned to her case...it's almost appalling to see Greed in such detail.

As for Aileen herself, so incredibly damaged. What she did was certainly not cricket, but no doubt the first murder was self defense and her rage from her past probably pushed her over the edge. You will feel pity for her one moment and then Your blood will freeze when she shoots the angry look. ***

DEAD SNOW (2009). A group of Medical students go to an isolated cabin for some R'n'R, but fail to heed the advice of a passing hiker and then are set upon by Nazi zombies. While I appreciate the effort in making this, the people in here, for the most part, are foolish/obnoxious beyond belief; particularly a scene involving an outhouse. DS gets much inspiration from better films like CABIN FEVER (well, maybe not so much) DEAD-ALIVE, SHOCK WAVES and the EVIL DEAD series. Lots of gore and some funny parts, but not essential. **

Pale Blood 1990

Sort of a Harlequin romance/vampire movie. Bland.

Gravity 2013

The one with Sandra Bullock(?). Never been a fan of hers but the film was ok. Just ok.

Paying Up

Has anyone seen Paying Up (2021)by Dustin Mills? It is really shocking. A junkie sells two male body parts to a cult to get quick cash. Unbelievably graphic and twisted. Very realistic castration scene. Indie horror icon Dave Parker is the lead actor.

Dustin Mills is a hit or miss for me. Invalid {2015} being my favorite film from him. The trailer looked good. And it's always a pleasure to see Dave Parker on screen. ::love::

WAYNES'S WORLD (1992). 30 year old comedy::shocked:: has still held up remarkably well and so many good parts in here. Gave new life to "Bohemian Rhapsody" (how funny and apropos that scene is...certainly brought back memories), ensured Alice Cooper of a new greeting from fans (His scene explaining the history of Milwaukee WI in such gravitas still makes Me chuckle) and feel Rob Lowe is great as the sleazy operator out to make a buck, almost a parody of his public image. While I appreciate a lot of Mike Myers script, find his character to be extremely annoying and even back then, the endless closeups of his Shit eating grin wore and wears thin real quick. It certainly helps the film to have other off the wall types in here. ****
