Whats this latest one to do with hardware?

I have this one on dvd somewhere...has Dylan McDermot in it...and a cameo fromm IGGY POP as DJ "Angry Bob-the man with the industrial Dick!"

Slither. What a fucked up movie, but I loved it. It was a pretty fresh take on the whole alien-mutant-mouth invading slimy thing premise. I enjoyed it a lot. It reminded me of From Beyond, Night of the Creeps and The Thing, right down to the R.J. MacReady funeral home.
Great stuff.

urgeok 11-05-2006 01:44 PM

Tom yum goong ... got a little tedious near the end .. but some pretty amazing stuff .. at least they didnt repeat the action over and over again like they did in ong bak

Omen IV: The Awakening

On it's own it would be a somewhat decent movie, but in the context of the series it's a big piece of shit. Here's how the discussion that made this movie possible must have gone down:

Producer 1 - Hey, that Omen series could probably still make us a buck.
Producer 2 - Ya! Lets just pretend the third one never happened, but then rely on it for an important plot twist near the end!

Aside from that and the stupid plot that was basically just a dumbed down rehash of the original, it wasnt too awful. Pretty solid acting, surprisingly enough.

It was a pilot movie for a TV series (which never happened).

Probably a good thing, that would make a pretty shitty TV show.

Elvis_Christ 11-05-2006 05:55 PM

Probably would've been better than the F13 and Elm St ones

Never seen either of those...though I was under the impression that the F13 series just had a similar title and wasnt actually related to the movies?

Everything was just so tied up with Omen IV....nowhere for a series to go without going down the exact same route as the first 3 films.

Freddy's Nightmares had some cool episodes.

I kinda liked the idea of a female antichrist

I love watching Bruce Willis...I think he can turn a mediocre movie into something much more.

Geddy 11-06-2006 05:05 AM

Rocky 4...

Phalanx 11-06-2006 05:17 AM

Saw, Saw 2, over the last ocuple days to immerse myself back into the series before seeing the 3rd. Still prefer the first to the second...dunno what to make of the third 'til I see it.

Started watching "Brother Bear" for the first time. So far, seems pretty good for what it is.

EarthSlayer 11-06-2006 07:40 AM

Just watch UNDEAD last night . It was listed as one of the "worst horror films of the last five years" by a lot of people here but I thought that it was pretty funny and I liked it.

yeah - it had some little strengths .. the horror connection we all love (as embarrasing as it is)
and Kirsty Alley .. yeow she looked great in that.
Harmond is hard to dislike too..

See No Evil

slasher flick ...usual victims .. some ok gore..

bwind22 11-06-2006 11:11 PM

An American Haunting

I'm not a very big fan of ghost stories to begin with, but when they proclaim themselves as unrated and then still don't have any gore in them at all, that's erally toeing the line. Fairly typical haunted house story. The acting was average, the gore nonexistant and the story was pretty damn basic. If you can't tell rom my tone, I was less than impressed. As far as ghost stories go, it was aboput average, but as far as movies in general go, it sucked.
