I always put my Last Seen Movie in my MSN name, right? One of my friends came on to tell me that she saw part of it, now you post that you just watched it...

Creepy coincidence, or...?

Yeah it was on tv.I just watched it on the stars channel.

Looking forward to #3, Sam Neill is perfect for the part IMO.

One of the weekest endings EVER. Kinda cool how a New Zealander was the antichrist :D

I just got thru with Witchcraft. A couple of decent gore scenes but this is about as good as you'd expect a movie with The Hoff and Linda Blair in it.

Swamp Thing

Wow, this is dated. The FX may have been good in the mid-80s but nowadays they just look terrible. This a freak-of-science-turns vigilante type of movie directed by Wes Craven. The story is okay, but rather conveneient at parts. The script and costumes are pretty bad. The gore is very tame. By today's standards this would be a mild PG-13 and nowhere near an R rated film. It also includes one of the hokiest looking villains I've ever seen in any movie ever. That wolf/plant/man at the end just looks utterly retarded. It might have been good whwen it came out, but it doesn't stand the test of time very well.

Ultimate Avengers 2

This was nowhere near as good as the 1st Ultimate Avengers movie. Where the 1st one focused more on 2 characters I like (Hulk & Capt. America), this focused more on the Black Panther, who I am not so fond of. I found it rather boring actually.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Haven't seen this one in forever and it's still dumb and still incredibly fun.

Phalanx 11-03-2006 06:55 AM

I only ever saw the submarine one...whats the go with this Sgt Pepper one?
I'd only ever associated that with the album of the same name.

It's a trainwreck but it's so funny and some of the moments are great. I love it, it's just so campy. Anyway, no DVD, it was on OnDemand. OD has a lot of different stuff on it now especially with the addition of FearNET.

The album gets a disjointed, silly story put to it with a lot of the songs being perfromed by other groups and people. Stars the BeeGees, Peter Frampton, George Burns, Steve Martin, and has appearances from Aerosmith and Alice Cooper as well. It's a trip.

"City of rott"

An oooold man is searching and fighting his way through the zombie infested city for a new pair of slippers.

Reminded me of a splatter-horror version of "South Park".

Had occasionally some pretty funny moments when the old senile geezer were arguing with himself/right shoe.

Deffinitely cult!!

MI 3 = C
Garfield 2 = B
I personally do not want to see Tom Cruise in any movie ever again unless its one where he dies a horrible death and I can pretend it's really him.

Haute Tension.
Interesting, bloody as all hell, great music and atmosphere.
I liked it, even after having the end spoiled, well, by coming here, at all.

The Omen (2006)

wasnt going to see it until i heard that David Thewlis was in it.

its a well made film .. some miscasting ... (styles was an odd choice)
and again - they go with actors that are too young. (except thewlis)

still pointless .. the origional was far more powerful.

Saw 3. Meh. I really didn't like this one as much as the first two. I'm not exactly sure why, but something about it just didn't work for me. It seemed like they were putting all the focus on making the traps as outrageous as possible and the story and characters kind of fell by the wayside. The movie recovered from this quite a bit in the final third or so, but it still didn't measure up for me.

Rest Stop. Blech. I don't really have a whole lot to say about this one. It started off fairly decent and rapidly descended into absurdity. Not very good at all.

the wierdest thing is that in the origional, david warner played the photographer very gritty - i really liked his character ... Thewlis is a master at this and i thought it was brilliant casting .. but thewlis played him to be a much nicer guy .. very puzzling choice..
