Catch all of em together in Intruder (1989). If you havent seen it yet, check it out. Its a lovely slasher movie. Of course all of em got character driven roles in it, yet the movie itself is excellent.

I actually like the film, too. I was surprised to hear poor responses.

Last night I watched The Bird With the Crystal Plumage (1969).

Gorgeously twisted film.

It just didn't grab me for some reason. I was bored through the whole thing, and I didn't like the ending at all. I'm sure I'll give it another shake before I give up completely, the only movie I watched once and never bothered with again was the Fog remake......

Oh yeah, and I thought Deborah Harry SUCKED in it.

Despare 10-02-2006 04:23 PM

Hard Candy

I enjoyed it, very well done.

City of Ghosts

Hmmm.... I don't know.... I certainly saw the potential in this movie for the first half hour or so, but it just never really delivered anything. Matt Dillon acted fine but his script left some to be desired. James Caan & Gerard Depardieu were both pretty good in their roles though. I don't it just was sort of a boring version of what it could have been... I wasn't entertained.

C-

The Car

Cheesy Late 70s/early 80s flick about a possessed car that wreaks havoc on a small community. It was alright for entertainment value, but don't expect any piece of great filmmaking or anything...

Hm...didn't know there was a disney version...

Watched the breakfast club again throughout last night...to this day a compelling watch. Great soundtrack, good acting for the better part. Pretty well thought out message too, I think this is a good one to show the kids when they hit their teen years.

the_real_linda 10-03-2006 01:54 PM

i love the breakfast club.....it makes me feel 13 evertime i watch it even tho im only 18 now it just resonates of a time back in high school.....but i just finished watching x-men3

Phalanx 10-03-2006 02:00 PM

Losing Bryan Singer was like the worst thing to happen to that film series...I didn't "hate" the third one (and I thought BEAST was badass, and it was good to see more of collossus), but so much of the established "feel" of the continuity and characters seemed lost. And for what? So Singer would go on to make a pretty boring, droll superman film. Unfortunate...but I think there's life in the series yet, needs improvement though.

Amalthea 10-03-2006 02:10 PM

Disney's Kill Dwarfs! :D

Watching "Cool world" now.
Love the background art...strange trippy kinda music, and random animations floating around...it's an "ok" film, I don't like it all that much, but it's ok background noise, and interesting to watch.
The animated chicks are some 'o the finest.

twin peaks: fire walk with me.

i've heard that this was maybe lynch's weakest work, but i loved it. after having seen the show, it clears up a lot of things, and made me want to watch the series all over again.

if anyone's interested in this, i highly suggest watching the show first, then the movie.

obviously you appreciate T & A as much as the guys do :)

i think that the low expectations probably helped you enjoy it as well.
