i will say that i liked the 1st person bit at the end .. and i kind of liked the obnoxious grinning asshole .. probably because he was the only guy showing any signs of life in the flick.

"The Car" (1977)
-James Brolin

Have you ever seen a movie and thought it was bad, but a few years later you see it again and think, "That wasn't as bad as I remember", well..."The Car" ain't one of those films, Almost 30 years since I last saw this thing and it's still a heaping load of crap. A decent cast toatally wasted in this god awful film. How it escaped "Mystery Science Theater 3000" I'll never know. Bad, really bad.

I just watched; Nightmare (In a Damaged Brain)
Not to bad for a low budget 1981 psychopathic killer movie. It's better than some I have seen. It's on a DVD-R that I bought.

Thumbs up from both my mom, and myself.

Tron. One of my favorite classic kiddie movies.

Phalanx 09-08-2006 10:36 PM

Never got sround to seeing Tron myself...

Not really a movie, but I just got 24 series 4 on dvd, I've completely missed the show since the end of S3.
This one (to me) didn't start off quite as strong as the others, the first episode really grabbed me more, but, I just finished watching the first disk, and the ball does get rolling...however inprobable the storyline, the show manages to remain compelling, and you gotta love bauer, crazy motherfucker.

can't say i was overly impressed, i usually love the comic book movies but thought this one was very slow, then just as it starts to get going....it's over :(

punk666 09-09-2006 02:41 AM

scary movie

urgeok 09-09-2006 04:18 AM

Scared Stiff (Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin)

I introduced my child to Jerry Lewis last night - and he loved him .. thought that annoying little weirdo was the funniest thing he'd ever seen.

I've always been a big fan of Dean Martin so I enjoyed it anyway ..

there was one very funny line ...

someone was describing a zombie :

'zombies are under the power of another person. they walk around glassy-eyed not knowing what they are doing and not caring why"

and lewis says "just like hisbands"

LOL I saw that when I was a kid and then went and wrote a book about it with crayons on construction paper. Then I sold it to the neighbors and our relatives for a dollar.

Just watched Legend. One of my favorite fairy tale movies. I even like Tom Cruise in it, and that's pretty rare.

Malevolence.

I haven't watched it yet, but someone tell me. Is it violent and gory? How bad is the language, and how much nudity is there?

It's not very bad. No nudity, I don't think, mostly violence. My memory's failing me a little, however...

No nudity, just violence. It WAS just like a TCM Halloween, in almost every way! I liked it, although it was a little weird. It was actually kind of scary at parts. Great setting.

The Punisher (1989 version)

It's pretty dumb, but I found it very entertaining. Enjoyed it just as much as the recent version with Tom Jane.

Dolph was pretty cool, but Lou Gosset Jr. absolutely kicked ass in this. The scene where he beat the shit out of the pizza guy...then comes back for a silce! That was priceless!
