Did you hear they actually announced another season?
I was under the impression this was going to be the last so I was kind of...what the fucking fuck they're gonna leave it like this?
Nice to see an old face, even though it was just...yeah...the end was a hell of a tense episode...and even though they kind of had that one last conversation I was thinking "fuck, they're really gonna do this to Boomer??". Crushing stuff, and a goodbye to one of our most familiar faces, and hello again to...another one...will be interesting to see where they go with that, and, well...who was the body?

It's not the show it was...it reached it's heights probably in season 3 imo, but still good writing, and very very watchable.

Guys. Legit I’ve been binging 90-Day-Fiancé non-stop and I’m on Season 3 and probably need more going on in my life...

Actually I have to thank you, I totally forgot this had started. And I didn't know another season was to be. Awesome. I thought this was a good season for Boomer. Got to see where she came from..so heartbreaking yet, a learning process. And Liz. : ( what can anyone say..she'll always be a sweetheart. <3 Nice to see Frankie, one of my favorites from past seasons.

How it ended, well couldn't been better. One of the best psychotic characters ever to grace my screen.
::love:: Lets do this. : )

Perpetual Grace Ltd - Just finished it off.
What a great show.
Seriously, if you haven't seen it - do yourself the favour.
Through and through amazing for so many reasons. It's surreal, heartfelt, depressing, funny, weird, tragic, viscious...it's a mongrel of a show but it's so SO strong.
Good characters, brilliant writing. Some of the best conversations I've ever seen.
You guys...you need to see this.
Love love love the sountrack and musical score too. Perfect.
9/10 show right here.

You haven't been here in a while. Are you bringing back some people from your Facebook group? Or just checking in to see if things are still going?

I remember it was around the time after that last forum contest that everyone seemed to gradually leave.

Ha, I'm actually just through the second episode of The Boys. SPLAT!
Main dude reminds me of a young Michael Shannon.

I always looked at the comic as something that looked cool, but not really my thing.
Was it Garth Ennis? I like some of his stuff...a lot of it's a bit over the top but hey, it's not standard superhero shit yet again.

Actually between this, Preacher, and not one but two Neil Gaiman productions lately, not to mention Lucifer...it's like these kind of like...we're in this age where the comics I've really wanted to see are making the cut. I like it.

Yes, I believe most people are fed up with standard superhero stuff. I know I am.

Mindhunter, Season One and 5 episodes into Season 2.

Creator: Joe Penhall

Oh I thought this was a faux doco but it's a show! And a good one at that.

They portrayed that POS Speck really well, in fact all the killers are done well. The Feds can be a tad annoying though.

DeadbeatAtDawn 08-26-2019 07:44 PM

Finished Mindhunter, I liked it quite a bit. 8/10

Can't wait until season 3. I'll be there.

Didn't realise The Atlanta Child Murders went on for that long and they only got Wayne Williams for two adult murders and wasn't charged for any of the children. Very sad...still until this day.

Real Housewives of Orange County

Just learned that a "train" is not the method of transportation that this innocent viewer thought it was. Accorting to the smelly tramps of the O.C., a train is when a woman has sex with 6 or 8 men in a row. Ewwwww.

Finished the Boys.
So?

DeadbeatAtDawn 09-01-2019 03:54 AM

Three episodes into Carnival Row, although dark and beautiful to look at, I'm not feeling anything special. The creatures are cool, effects good and we did have a gruesome murder but I'm not feeling any magic. I will finish it this weekend.

Yeah this turned out to be pretty good. Alot of storytelling and neat creatures, esp. the Faeries. ::love:: I will return for Season 2. 7,5/10

Finished Perpetual Grace.

Except for Ben Kingsleys character I didn’t like anything about it.

First big problem was the story. It just wasn’t very interesting to me. On top of that there was the characters, dialogue, music, cinematography etc. Everything just felt super pretentious. As if the whole thing was created by David Lynch and the director of Sexy Beast.

Sorry, I won’t be watching any future seasons of this show and I’m quite honestly surprised if there will be any future seasons. What is there to look forward to? What was the cliffhangers in the last episode? The funeral speech? Riveting.

cheebacheeba 09-06-2019 04:31 PM

Pretentious...not a word I'd use, a little derivative perhaps.

What, you didn't like the Little Tornado speech?

I dunno...it was slow...but for me it was all about the conversations...not a lot else happened, I get that.
I guess I just look forward to more of that.
The conversations were well crafted and almost surreal.
I liked the weird.
I think it'll be interesting when all of the characters collide, each of them knowing what they now know.
I don't know if I'd want more than two seasons personally.

You think John Locke looks better with a beard though?

Started on Star Trek Discovery again, since I'm out one "late nght watch" show since I finished Seinfeld again.
Enjoyable show - I actually quite like their vision of the ST universe...and what they end up doing with the Enterprise and especially Pike...that is some magic I hope they capture again in future season/s.
