31 (2016)
Quite bad, even by Rob Zombie standards. Suicide Squad (2016) extended cut Average and forced. There's too much going on so nothing really stands out. |

Suicide Squad.
Not as witty as it wanted to be. Honestly, I found myself pretty bored by it. I like the comic, this, I did not. The Joker was maybe the most bland version to ever make film. Not for me. Even watched the extended one - What happened to the Joker scene they marketed so much, with him looking all messed up/burnt? More cuts. |
The Nightmare Before Christmas

Storks (2016)
Not funny or bright enough for an animated movie. Only fun thing was the wolfpack. Small note: I forgot about the baby factor of this movie and I don't like babies/children. |

Fender Bender (2016)
Waste of time. The killer and his method were kinda interesting but it got ruined by a lack of logic. Good musical score though. |

Excision (2012) I.M.D.B. A disturbed and delusional high school student with aspirations of a career in medicine goes to extremes to earn the approval of her controlling mother. Odd little movie with an unexpected ending. Well made with decent performances. Wasn't a big fan of it though, although I can't say why without spoiling it. 6/10 https://s23.postimg.org/c95txq23r/Martyrs.jpg Martyrs (2008) I.M.D.B. A young woman's quest for revenge against the people who kidnapped and tormented her as a child leads her and a friend, who is also a victim of child abuse, on a terrifying journey into a living hell of depravity. First half of this movie was very good. I felt it went downhill in the second half to the point of ridiculousness (the violence rather than the plot). 7/10 https://s24.postimg.org/4k54cxslt/Tunnel.jpg Tunnel (2016) I.M.D.B. A man is on his way home when the poorly constructed tunnel he is driving through collapses, leaving him trapped. Didn't take itself too seriously, which made it far more enjoyable than it could have been at a two hour run time. Doing so, however, sacrificed some of the harrowing ordeal of survival, so I felt it lacked a punch in that department. 7/10 |
Rewatched The Magnificent Seven last night. The new one not the original. It's a perfectly entertaining action movie. Had a lot of fun watching it.
Legend Of Tarzan was OK. Tarzan didn't act enough like Tarzan for my liking but it was decent. I really liked Margot Robbie as Jane!!::wink:: Also watched Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children... Another OK movie. I love Eva Green but felt like she was very underused. Some of the ideas where quite fun. The plot was a little wonky in places and there just wasn't enough character development for my liking. However I still feel like it's one of the better Tim Burton movies of recent years. |
A Christmas Horror Story
This was a lot better then i thought it was going to be. Two of the stories in particular were very good and only one of them i felt was boring and just didnt fit with the rest of the movie. It has a pretty good ending too. 7/10 |

Burning Bright (2010) I.M.D.B. A thriller centered on a young woman and her autistic little brother who are trapped in a house with a ravenous tiger during a hurricane. The scenes with the tiger were surprisingly well done, considering it must have been a tough thing to shoot, but it was still extremely limited in what it could do and the movie suffered for it. And I know the autistic brother was supposed to be annoying, but it didn't stop me wanting him to be mauled to death. Briana Evigan runs around in very little though, so bonus points for that. 5.5/10 https://s23.postimg.org/69kdczpob/Br...lla_musica.jpg |

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)
6/10 Quote:
Unfortunately, there's very little character exposition, nor social commentary, and therefore no worthwhile humor or relationships... something the first two films did, and did well. |
Beyond the Gates (2016)
B/C Ok movie about an 80's VCR game. Acting and characters were better than average, the bits of blood and gore are decent, story was ok but overal I felt like there was missing something. Just can't put my finger on it. |
https://s29.postimg.org/ytu9l90dv/Capsule.jpg
Capsule (2015) I.M.D.B. Guy is an experienced British fighter pilot who is in command of Britain's first manned mission to space. Not a good movie. Guy does nothing in his little capsule except occasionally use the center stick and they try to make that look exciting. It's 90 mins of this guys face and very little else, asking people on the radio how to fix his problems, and never getting any answers. Plus a dumb ending. 3/10 |
Night of the Living Deb (2015) Romance during the zombie apocalypse. Could have been worse. Maria Thayer was good, anyway. It's a shame Syd Wilder didn't have a better part.

Savages
0/0 It really sucks. |
https://s29.postimg.org/fh98x98lv/Beyond_Reanimator.jpg
Beyond Re-Animator (2003) I.M.D.B. Everyone's favorite mad scientist Herbert West is currently in jail after having state's evidence turned against him by his former assistant, Dan Cain. Suffers for its lack of 80's charm, and isn't as bizarre as the first two. Still, it's well made - with great makeup and prosthetics. A slightly more mature and subdued performance from Jeffrey Combs than the previous two, whilst still maintaining all the egomaniacal joy of the character. However, rubbish front cover! 7.5/10 |
Incarnate, 2016. 5/10
PG-13 Horror, which I don't mind sometimes..started off cool, a bit creepy but then turned into the standard fare.. ::roll eyes:: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/9jGDfPcZ_tI/hqdefault.jpg |

Beyond the Gates (2016) I.M.D.B. Two estranged brothers reunite at their missing father's video store to liquidate the property and sell off his assets. As they dig through the store, they find a VCR board game Would have truly benefited from better writing of the main characters. The protagonist was unlikable. Too much silence in place of good dialogue, and the third act was lame, possibly due to budget restrictions. But there were some enjoyable moments, and it was well made. 6/10 |
The Possesssion Experiment

Yoga Hosers (2016)
C- Not as bad as I expected, with all the negative reviews and comments. But not great either. I think an R-Rating would've worked better with the concept. Still got high hopes for Moose Jaws though. |
https://s24.postimg.org/52i3nihwx/Chevalier.jpg
Chevalier (2015) I.M.D.B. In the middle of the Aegean Sea, six men on a fishing trip on a luxury yacht decide to play a game. During this game, things will be compared. Things will be measured. Songs will be butchered, and blood will be tested. Friends will become rivals and rivals will become hungry. But at the end of the journey, when the game is over, the man who wins will be the best man. Concept sounded cool. It was not. Machismo, rivalry, desire to impress - all taken to the extreme, and with good performances from the actors. But the actual substance of the movie was ridiculous. It went from one silly, uninspired scenario to the next, without going anywhere interesting. 5/10 |

Train To Busan (2016)
B/C Better than average zombie/infected movie. Typical characters and cliché situations but a decent movie nonetheless. |

Demon (2015) I.M.D.B. A bridegroom is possessed by an unquiet spirit in the midst of his own wedding celebration, in this clever take on the Jewish legend of the dybbuk. Well written with good characters and good performances. I felt as though the build-up had no satisfactory pay-off, which left me feeling a bit empty at the end, despite having enjoyed it overall. 8/10 |

A Family Stone (2005) PG-13
8/10 Quote:
The last forth of the film became a bit too densely packed with syrupy sentimentality. It also went with one incredibly unlikely scenario that seemed to snowball into an unwelcome overall feeling of ridiculousness and disassociation. The film does tackle, or perhaps tries to champion, a couple divisive societal issues. It's partly used as conflict and acceptance plot points, where there had to be one; however the particular issues may also jolt some audience members out of the film's warm immersion and into a circumspect and guarded state. So the film goes niche... Not sure the producers knew just how close it was to being universal gold. Lastly, as Repo'd would say, all the women are very easy on the eyes. |
