First of all, here are the CORRECT answers :-




I got a variety of answers for #15 Down - "General", "Matthew", even "Vincent". The correct answer I was looking for was Hopkins, but since there are 7 letters in all of the above answers (which I failed to notice), and I somehow overlooked the fact that #15 Down was detached from the rest of the Crossword, I awarded full points to everyone who sent in all the above as answers.

And yes, #10 Down is indeed "Ancient Enemy" and not "Ancient One". I accept my mistake.

And, here I must admit, that some of you are absolute Crossword-solving maniacs.


Another point to note -

I absolutely INSISTED that ALL of you hotlink the uploaded image directly into your PM to me, so that I see the solved Crossword DIRECTLY in your PMs, but no less than FOUR Zombie Titans sent in links only.

TWO of them had valid reasons for doing so, and I accepted them. But TWO others merely sent in links to their image uploads without explaining anything, so I was to assume that either
a) they don't know about embedding image URLs, or
b) they overlooked this part of the Challenge.

And since I had already accepted two entries with valid reasons, then it would be unfair to not accept the other two, so I accepted them.

But, be warned from now on, that if you don't follow the instructions of a Challenge implicitly, I will scratch your entries next time and award you 0 points. We are moving higher into BR IV, so rules will have to be complied with strictly, folks.

I have to really commend the Blazing Hellspawns team here. ALL of them sent in their images DIRECTLY EMBEDDED into their PMs. Fantastic team effort, guys! Hats off to your team co-ordinators!

A clarification regarding the Immunizer Choices - the players selected to be Immunised from the Bloodbath cannot do any hunting, either. They are exempted from all aspects of the Hunt.

In other words, they are thrown into the Dungeon till the next Challenge.

I have received the choice for Immunization from the ZOMBIE TITANS. Still to receive it from the BLAZING HELLSPAWNS.

And, as we speak, the BR cameras reveal that the BLOODBATH HAS BEGUN!! SPEARGUNS HAVE BEEN BLASTED!!

EIGHT players have bloodied their hands in the Bloodbath so far. SIX Zombie Titans and TWO Hellspawns have inked their names in blood on their opponents.

Still a long way to go till the deadline.

I forgot the deadline changed on this one. It's usually in the morning.

I wish I could take a shot at either Nemesis or the Predator if I happen to pick their area.

THIRD UPDATE


The count has risen to TWELVE - SEVEN Titans and FIVE Hellspawns.

And the BR scanners also reveal that THE PREDATOR has hit THREE targets!

Hark, NEMESIS has hit TWO targets as well!!

Still some way to the deadline. Looking like it's going to be a real Bloodbath in there!

Some news for the Titans - Hammerfan has a family emergency and won't be able to continue in BR IV. Here is her PM to me :-

Oh my. Hope he is all right and gets the help he needs, hammerfan. Real tough loss for the Titans.

AND THE BLOODBATH DEADLINE TICKS OVER!!!

Let's see how much blood was spilled in the Bloodbath...

The gates of the Hunting Zone are thrown open to let both teams back into the BR compound, and suddenly it was revealed that ONE Zombie Titan had not made it back!!!


Let's see what the BR camera recordings reveal...


Zombie Titan DISEASE and Blazing Hellspawn CHRONOGRL were nominated to be IMMUNIZED from the BLOODBATH, so they were disarmed and sentenced to the HDC Dungeon till the Bloodbath was over.


FERRETCHUCKER went and shot ZERO with one of his spears, and CHRONOGRL with the other!
But since Chronogrl had immunized herself from the Bloodbath, Ferret's second spear went flying through thin air and fizzled out of sight!

(ZERO healed himself with 1 of his HPs. He had 42 HPs left with him.)

FERRET then proceeded into the BETA area to hide, unaware that NEMESIS was prowling in that very area! He was almost immediately deep-fried by a Nemesis rocket!!
20 HPs healed him back, but he was left with only ONE HP after that.


HAMMERFAN declared to donate 5 HPs to WHOEVER NEEDED IT THE MOST!
She then proceeded into the Zone to target CHRONOGRL with her two arrows!!
Again, since Chronogrl had Immunized herself from the Bloodbath, Hammerfan's two fired spears tore through thin air and fizzled off!

HAMMERFAN then proceeded into the ALPHA area to hide, where she was safe till the Bloodbath was over.


ROSHIQ declared to donate 18 of his HPs to WHOEVER NEEDS THEM THE MOST!
He then proceeded to shoot STRAKER with both his spears!!!

(Straker healed himself with 2 of his HPs. He now had 13 HPs left.)

ROSHIQ then proceeded directly into the DELTA area to hide, where he was safe till the Bloodbath was over.


THE VILLAIN declared to donate 10 HPs to WHOEVER NEEDED THEM THE MOST!
He then went into the Bloodbath to pump STRAKER with two Spears and FIVE shells of his Shotgun!!!!

(Straker healed himself again with 7 HPs. He now had 6 HPs left with him.)

THE VILLAIN then ran into the GAMMA area to hide, but as luck would have it, THE PREDATOR had been prowling in that very area! Struck full-on with a huge Predator Energy Cannon beam, The Villain needed 20 of his HPs to heal back.
He now had 12 HPs left.


STRAKER declared to donate ALL of his HPs to WHOEVER NEEDED THEM THE MOST!
He then went in search of FERRETCHUCKER, found him nursing his wounds, and fired both his arrows deep into his body!

(Ferretchucker healed himself with his remaining 1 HP, while Hammerfan came running with 1 of her HPs to heal Ferret completely)

STRAKER then wandered aimlessly until he came into the ALPHA area where he snuck down out of sight till the Bloodbath was over.

He then went in and shot FERRETCHUCKER twice, using his unique DOUBLE SHOT, then fired both his arrows into him as well!!

(Ferretchucker had no HPs with him. Hammerfan's 4 remaining donated HPs came to his rescue, before Hammerfan ran off.)

WEAPON X then went straight into the DELTA area to hide, where he was safe till the Bloodbath was over.


MICHAELMYERS declared to donate 14 HPs to WHOEVER NEEDED THEM THE MOST!
He then went into the Zone to thud STRAKER's body with two Spears!!!!!!

(but, in his haste, MichaelMyers forgot to use his Desert Eagle!)

(Straker healed himself with 2 more of his HPs. He now had only 2 HPs left.)

MICHAELMYERS then sneaked into the GAMMA area, but Lady Luck deserted him then! THE PREDATOR was waiting, and it was hungry for targets! A huge Predator Energy Cannon beam came blazing through the trees, and MichaelMyers was sizzled!! 20 used HPs later, MichaelMyers started to breathe.
He now had 13 HPs left.


REALDEALBLUES went straight to find STRAKER, and pumped him with his TWO arrows!!

(Straker's last 2 remaining HPs came out to do their duty. He was healed, but had run out of HPs.)

REALDEALBLUES walked into the BETA area to hide, but NEMESIS was waiting for him there!!! A rocket came flying through the trees and struck him with extreme force, throwing him back with the might of the explosion, shrapnel digging deep into his body!! A bunch of HPs used up on his wounds, Realdealblues was left with 20 HPs.


ZERO declared to donate 4 HPs to WHOEVER NEEDED THEM THE MOST!
He then went in, swung through the trees, and shot FERRETCHUCKER twice with his arrows!!

(Ferretchucker had already run out of HPs. Hammerfan was gone, but then Roshiq arrived! 2 of Roshiq's HPs immediately patched Ferretchucker up.)

ZERO then swung into the ALPHA area to hide, where his furry butt was safe till the Bloodbath was over.

GOREPHOBIA declared to donate ALL of his HPs to WHOEVER NEEDED THEM THE MOST!
He then stormed inside the Zone straight to where FERRETCHUCKER lay and shot him twice with his arrows!!!!
Not satisfied with that, Gorephobia pulled out his DESERT EAGLE, and shot Ferret FOUR times rapidly as well!

(Roshiq came running through the bushes and quickly patched up Ferret with 6 HPs almost immediately. From a near-death condition, Ferret was saved yet again!)

GOREPHOBIA became morose when he saw Ferret being saved by Roshiq, and wandered off into the Zone, into the GAMMA area. He was caught totally unawares when the PLASMA BOLT CAME FLYING STRAIGHT AT HIM AND THE PREDATOR ROARED!!!
A huge explosion and a big spray of blood later, Gorephobia recovered enough to patch himself with 20 of his HPs. He had 15 HPs left.


SENTINEL65 declared to donate 13 HPs to WHOEVER NEEDED THEM THE MOST!
He then went into the Zone to hunt down STRAKER and blasted him twice with his spears!!!!!!!!

(Straker had run out of HPs. Weapon X found him a bit later, in BLEEDING condition, and immediately patched him up with 2 HPs to heal him back.)

SENTINEL65 then proceeded into the GAMMA area to hide, but he had picked the area of THE PREDATOR!! A huge bolt of plasma beam came hurtling at him from high up the branches of a tree, and Sentinel65 was blasted! Quickly patching himself up with 20 of his HPs to survive, he now had 14 HPs left with him.


IMMORTALSLASHER declared to donate 10 of his HPs to WHOEVER NEEDED THEM THE MOST!
He then went in and found FERRETCHUCKER and blasted him twice with his two arrows!!!!!

(Roshiq, still present beside Ferretchucker, healed him again with 2 of his HPs.)

IMMORTALSLASHER then walked straight into the DELTA area to hide, where he stayed safe till the Bloodbath was over.


THE UGLY DUCHESS decided to proceed directly into the Zone and find FERRETCHUCKER, to shoot him twice rapidly with his Crossbow's arrows!!!!!

(Roshiq again came to the rescue, by healing Ferretchucker with 2 of his HPs.)

THE UGLY DUCHESS then walked straight into the BETA area to hide, where NEMESIS waited for him!! With a huge grunting ROAR, NEMESIS sent a rocket straight at the Duchess, which exploded on direct impact!! The Duchess was ripped up in several places, and 20 HPs came out immediately to do their duty. He now had ONE HP left with him.


ALKYTRIO666 also walked straight into the Zone to hunt down FERRETCHUCKER, and shot him rapidly TWICE with his arrows!!!!!!!!

(Roshiq, ever alert, again patched Ferretchucker up. Ferret was totally unconscious, and never realised how many times he had been saved by then.)

ALKYTRIO666 then snuck through the bushes into the GAMMA area to hide, but that was the area of THE PREDATOR!!! The triangular beam centered directly on Alkytrio666, as the plasma bolt came flying through the trees!!!It struck with tremendous force, throwing Alkytrio666 backwards with extreme force against a rock!! 20 used HPs later, Alkytrio666 was alive, but left with 4 HPs.



And...



THAT'S IT!!!


What happened to Hellspawn FREDDYMYERS?! Because I received no PM for him!

And since the Bloodbath had no Sniper punishment activated for it, he (and probably BOTH teams) was saved from the wrath of the Snipers.

(Too bad)

But, he was not spared from an area being chosen for him. A random draw of areas commenced, and FREDDYMYERS found himself in area GAMMA, where THE PREDATOR zeroed in on him with it's triangular beam and blasted him with it's plasma cannon bolt!! He lost 20 HPs in saving his life, and had 20 HPs left with him in the end.



(And something sinister did happen! Someone had sneaked up to HAMMERFAN from behind and hit one hard across her head, rendering her completely unconscious. When the BR Medics team came across her body, it had gone limp and she was barely breathing. She has since been moved into the ECU section of the BR Medical Center, where her condition has worsened and she has become Comatose. Sorry, Zombie Titans.)
