Weird man with a weird face. I'm not sad he died, but not happy. He was just a person who should have grown the hell up a long time ago. I don't care if he had a bad childhood, if he can't see that he's doing just as bad things to his children then he didn't deserve them.

I wouldn't say that. The coverage that his death is receiving and fan outpouring is from his music, not accusations and some of the silly things he's done. He'd have still been famous without the BS. He has a number one, double platinum album this decade. And as far as the accusations go.. if you hurt my child in anyway, you wouldn't be able to pay me enough, so whatever the fuck ever.

That's about the best way I've seen it put. I loved Thriller as a kid, but I never really got into Jackson's music outside of that. I never understood him in anyway. I just wonder about his kids, though. What are they going through or are going to go through. He did one thing well, and that was keep them out of the media circus.

Well said, Austin. My sister and I were talking about this today. She has 3 kids...well, adults now....and I put that same question to her: "If you were the parent making the accusation, would he be able to buy you off if he actually did it?" And her answer was an emphatic "NO!"

Like I said earlier, he and I were the same age, technically he was a year older. So, we kind of "grew up" together. I've always been a fan of the Jackson Five and Michael.

And you are very correct about the media.

That's the effect that the death of a celebrity has.

A few years ago, I bet half the people phoning in to radio shows mourning his death would have been quite happy to mock and laugh at him. Look at Jade Goody. Everyone hated her until she got cancer, then loads of people suddenly loved her:confused:

That isn't to say he did have a huge fan base. He had a hell of a lot of supporters at the trial and will always have those faithful to him. I just think it's helped people remember the old Michael, because they want to remember him in a good way because he's dead, and a lot of people don't agree with being cruel about the dead.

No one will ever know the real truth. Honestly, I don't care one way or the other.

I will say this though, if you hate someone while they are alive, why change because they died? Still the same person. I don't see the point of respecting someone you hate, just because they aren't there to hate.

Yes, it's a nice gesture to a family, when their loved one dies, to pull over while the funeral cars go by. But I don't see where it should be a law. If you didn't like that person, why should one be forced to respect them?

There were times in 80's and early 90's where some people here in BD only understand & know about western or American music by the name MICHALE JACKSON! A true legend & complete entertainer who will be remembered & heard from generation to generation in almost every corner of the world.

There have not a single phenomenal pop track produced yet and never will be like his incomparable Just beat it to Dirty Diana.

It's sad yes.

But personally the death of Heath Ledger last year hit me much harder.

Probably because: Michael was pretty much a has-been when he died, I've never digged his music since the first solo albums, and... he's black.
